Job Description

The Senior Product Manager will be a member of the Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) Global Strategy & Operations team and will be focused on managing the existing Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platform.  This person will work closely with VCA, Marketing Services, regional stakeholders, and our IT development team to identify tool enhancement needs and work with the IT team to ensure the right solutions are implemented in a timely fashion.

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) and Marketing Services make up the two biggest functions within Advisory Services.  Advisory Services is the consulting arm of Visa, driving tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including financial institutions, merchants, governments and fintechs. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, marketing, operational improvement, and macroeconomics.  VCA and Marketing Services consultants solve the most strategic problems for our clients.  Our mission centers around improving the performance and profitability of our clients around the world.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the development and launch of new features and functionality through the entire product development lifecycle, from concept through implementation, and release
  • Generate product requirements and solutions that integrate learnings from stakeholder feedback reviews to enhance user satisfaction
  • Collaborate with VCA and Marketing Services teams to define future roadmap capability needs and prioritize roadmap capabilities with a value driven approach
  • Be aware of how the platform is used, how it fits into the overall project lifecycle, and how other groups and functions may consume or leverage information from the platform to ensure new features and enhancements do not interfere with existing functionality
  • Partner closely with the engineering team, including attending Daily Standup, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Demos, Retrospectives
  • Understand how the platform is being used post launch, get feedback, assess the outcome of achieving the anticipated business value, identify improvements and enhancements, and continuously improve based on business value driven approach against other features

Given global nature of the role, flexibility to accommodate meetings across many time zones required.  Most meetings will be with partners in PST, IST, CST time zones.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 8 years in a product manager, product owner, business process analyst, or sales operation role
  • 5 years building software capabilities to support sales, service, or other customer relationship management function
  • 3 years working with SaaS applications, ideally Clarity
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or Related Field
  • 5 years of applying Agile principles in one of more of these disciplines: design, development, testing and product management, and can relate principle, practices into performing these disciplines in an Agile environment
  • CSM and CSPO or equivalent Agile certifications

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 128,100.00 to 166,500.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
