Job Description
The Senior Director, Product Management of the Advanced Decisioning Platform will lead, inspire, and motivate a team of Product Managers to enable the development of next generation shared service for risk and identity products for our customers. This will include significant product stakeholder and partner engagement, overseeing organizational strategic planning, budgeting, product design, product delivery & implementation and product line performance management. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in payments, risk and identity and product management with a proven record of commercializing and scaling products. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to grow a multimillion-dollar business line with developers, financial industry, and technology partners.
Essential Functions
Set vision and demonstrate thought leadership
Develop a strategy to evolve Visa’s Advanced Decisioning Platform as superset of shared services
Lower the cost of ownership for duplicate services
Enable new use cases and accelerate revenue opportunities across the risk and identity solution (RaIS) portfolio
Drive product strategy and roadmap
Channel global market requirements and develop a strategic product roadmap in order deliver an industry best in class decisioning platform
Balance the desire for customization, and point solutions with general market requirements to maximize return on investment, adoption across the Risk and Identity product portfolio
Ensure all products and services are enabled for simplified boarding and automation to scale and meet business goals
Drive best practices and establish KPIs to support product adoption, growth and monitor product performance
Lead the Product Management team
Set clear goals and expectations to drive optimal business outcomes
Lead and influence the organization to define and execute a cohesive growth strategy, underpinned by strong business cases, and aligned product investments
Inspire a strong team of global leaders
Be entrepreneurial to ensure successful adoption of the platform across Value Added Services product portfolio
Manage a technical, API driven product platform, in a technically complex environment
Exhibit technical fluency with peers and product development partners in order to communicate business requirements, features and user stories to ensure success
Fostering positive relationships with colleagues and influencing across organizational boundaries in a highly matrixed and distributed organization, with clients, and partners
Act as the primary advocate for the platform across Value Added Services product portfolio
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- 10+ years’ product management experience, preferrable in payment technology or risk and fraud management software
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example including setting high standards of performance and ethical behaviors
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to inspire teams, lead executive messaging, and communicate openly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proven ability to make informed decisions quickly and confidently
- Balance business, technical, and people skills
- Capacity to foster an environment that encourages innovation, creativity, personal growth
- Experience in collaborative environments
- Work effectively with diverse groups to achieve common goals
- Proven track record in building product management teams
- Demonstrated accountability for one's actions and decisions, and following through on commitments
- Ability to build strong relationships inside and outside of Visa

- Deep interest in the financial services industry, and a commitment to helping Visa succeed,
- Ability to develop and execute on a product strategy to evolve Visa’s Advanced Decisioning Platform in a fast-paced, agile environment with demanding timelines
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and MS Dynamics
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 173,100.00 to 225,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
