Job Description

Credit Control Team Lead Responsibilities:

  • Be first point of contact on customer queries in Zendesk queue on customer payments and provide support on billing queries
  • Proactively reach out to customers to understand status of payments due and find out if there are any issues holding these up, share these with others where required and track resolution
  • Where necessary help customers reconcile the outstanding balance, we have against their system
  • Run weekly meetings with Account Managers and Sales Management and take responsibility for tracking of actions
  • Business partner with Sales in order to help collaboration and communication between teams
  • Contribute to the cash flow forecast by providing input on expected payments
  • Assist team member who is covering bank recs in allocating cash receipts, investigate unallocated funds
  • Ensure information on outstanding debtor balances is accessible to those who need it and is kept up to date
  • Report on KPIs around the credit control process, such as DSO and % of debts aged 60 & 90 day+
  • Review top 25 and 90+ debtors weekly
  • Assist in the development of the credit management process
  • Contribute to ad hoc credit management projects & UAT
  • Management of third parties/escalations, insolvencies and repayment plans
  • Understand the credit worthiness of clients/ over exposure of bad debt
  • Assist in customer refund process and account adjustments
  • Enforce CC credit policies including resolution and treatment of bad and doubtful debt provision
  • Explain the CC debt process to new staff/stakeholders
  • Daily debt reviews to chase outstanding debt, ensuring information is fully recorded into the Gsheet or ERP system
  • Reconcile accounts + production of manual statements
  • Maintain up to date bad and doubtful debt provision

This role is a fixed term contract.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in credit control
  • Experience of the Fintech or Payments Space would be advantageous
