Job Description

The Global Sales Acceleration team is a world class sales engine responsible for driving incremental pipeline and bookings on behalf of Visa, and the Manager of Sales Acceleration is a key player responsible for creating the repeatable, scalable sales programs crafted to accomplish those pipeline and bookings goals. Working in close collaboration with partners across the various functions including Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Business Intelligence and Product, the person in this role will develop and help implement, and lead the programs, processes, governance, and tools associated with each motion. The role requires experience working with sales, a deep understanding of the field and partner organizations, confirmed portfolio/program management experience, and outstanding cross-group collaboration.

The role of Manager, Sales Acceleration, reporting to the Senior Director, Sales Acceleration, will focus on growing global sales bookings at an accelerated pace. This person will work on is responsible for the end-to-end Sales Acceleration lifecycle, as well as the efficacy of the performance metrics, standard methodologies, and 'wins' tied to Sales Programs and Plays for Issuing Solutions business’.

The Global Sales Acceleration function combines the competencies of sales strategy, performance management, enablement and propensity relevance and program management. Our target candidate should ideally be a highly effective program manager with a deep understanding of sales methodology and sales cycle, strong communicator with the strong ability to apply analytical reasoning, creativity, and sound judgment. You should be comfortable challenging the status-quo in a sensitive, efficient, and constructive manner. Essential Duties

  • The Sales Strategy and Acceleration team’s overarching goal is to increase pipeline, improve pipeline conversion, and positive impact bookings.

  • Regularly communicate progress on sales acceleration initiatives (i.e., sales plays)

  • Work with collaborators to define, and detail and deploy new processes for activation with sales teams

  • Closely align with Sales Excellence, Marketing, Enablement, Sales Operations, Business Intelligence and Product teams to ensure Sales programs and joint solution campaigns are efficiently packaged, communicated, and delivered to our joint sales teams and deployed in market

  • Conduct meetings amongst internal partners to collect and analyze feedback

  • Define new requirements for and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of a sales and partner engine.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal, and written communications skills, especially with remote teams working virtually
• Self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction
• Experience in supporting cross-functional initiatives and facilitating collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Technology and Customer Service organizations
• Proven success linking business strategies to business outcomes
• Exceptional leadership and influencing skills - thinks strategically to influence and drive tactical execution, particularly in a growing matrixed organization
• Strong attention to detail, and ability to adapt to continuously changing priorities and opportunities
• Outstanding teammate
• Experience using business tools and ability to recommend improvements

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 186,900.00 to 243,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
