What's it all about?

The role holder will leverage their sourcing/procurement expertise to optimally manage spend and suppliers, aligning with Visa's strategic business objectives.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they will play a pivotal role in molding the category, introducing leading practices, innovative thinking, and solutions. They will proactively support business needs, driving the sourcing strategy and plans, and assume ownership for commercial, sourcing projects, and associated activities.

The role holder will have a great opportunity to engage with many business stakeholders as well as peers within the Sourcing and business community, to drive enhancements in the ways of working, and deliver efficiencies, financial savings, and other added values to the business.

What we expect of you, day to day.

• Leverage a good understanding of the business drivers and an understanding of how these fit into the overall Visa business strategy ensuring overall success and tangible contribution to Visa Europe Sourcing function’s plans and objectives.
• Actively lead and manage Sourcing processes, tools, and priority-based projects, including procurement engagement process.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Drive the planning, prioritization and agile execution of sourcing activities including renewal management, RFx and commercial negotiations.
• Navigate sourcing processes with finesse, utilizing knowledge of internal risk management and third-party contractual procedures.
• Contribute to the evolution and deployment of Preferred Supplier Lists (PSL)
• Cultivate, build, and sustain relationships with stakeholders, understanding and meeting diverse business and client needs.
• Shape the commercial structure of agreements to maximize value and drive cost efficiency.
• Understand the diverse landscape of supplier contracts and general contracting terms.
• Facilitate supplier integration and consolidation of newly acquired organisations.
• Be an excellent collaborator, sharing knowledge across the Europe and Global Sourcing team.
• Stay up to date with professional and category developments, to maintain a competitive edge.
• Champion the ESG, Supplier Diversity & Inclusion agenda, contributing to a sustainable and inclusive future.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

• Proven experience as a Sourcing/Procurement professional
• Proficiency in S2C and P2P processes
• Experience in managing RFx projects and competitive tenders, including spot negotiations and eAuctions
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and proposal evaluation
• Solid commercial and contractual acumen
• In-depth market and supplier knowledge.
• Proven leadership and project management skills
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Energetic team player with a track record of delivery
• Desirable, bilingual in French (written and spoken)
