The Innovation and Global Digital Partnerships organization defines the next phase of Innovation for Visa through our global network of Innovation Centers and leads the development and commercialization of Visa products and solutions for Big Tech, Fintech and Platform partnerships.
Role Description
We are looking for someone passionate about payments, innovation, and storytelling to drive the development and delivery of global executive client thought leadership.
This role requires leadership, vision, and strong client facing experience to develop the innovation client narrative and deliver high-impact executive briefings to deepen relationships and enable new business opportunities. Clients from all over the world including financial institutions, merchants, governments, and digital partners, come to the Visa Innovation Centers to hear our point of view on the future of payments. This role is dedicated to delivering these compelling narratives to Visa’s top global clients to help them advance their understanding of and accelerate their response to innovation in payments. You will support development and execution of these narratives and serve as storyteller and editor for all executive briefing content to ensure quality, clarity, consistency and alignment to the Global Innovation business and reputational goals.
You should possess expertise and passion for digital payments, with a knowledge that extends beyond North America given the international client mix. You possess deep expertise in one or more critical domains – such as product, customer behavior, monetization, emerging technologies – and how this relates to payments. You will have a vision for conceptualizing and delivering future of payments narratives that address customer challenges with originality, relevancy, and actionability. The ability to situate innovation in payments in the broader context of societal and economic change through impactful and persuasive storytelling is a must.
The ideal candidate will be a structured, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in the critical role thought leadership plays in enhancing customer relationships. Importantly, you should be deeply passionate about innovation in payments and energized by the opportunity to communicate that passion and expertise to customers.
This role will report directly to the Head of North America Innovation Centers.
Responsibilities
- Drive a future of payments narrative encompassing innovation in solutions, user experience, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies to lead client executive briefings, presentations and programs
- Evaluate briefing requests based on sales impact, revenue potential, level of attendees, market segmentation, stage in sales cycle, etc.
- Partner with account teams from initial briefing request to create agenda, source discussion leaders, and lead prep calls
- Collaborate with sales, product, and innovation colleagues to create, plan, and execute customized briefings
- Perform key functions including strategy development, program- and project management to continuously improve the
- Deliver an exceptional experience with Visa for partners by understanding their needs and bringing in the appropriate content and subject matter experts
- Demonstrate your proven ability to quickly learn and build expertise in key topic areas including our clients’ business, competitive landscape, and our business objectives to clearly define problem statements and actionable insights
- Manage, coordinate and oversee cross-functional content programs, using collaborative and consultative skills to define, plan and drive future content production and delivery plans
- Write, edit, design content that aligns with our voice, create standards and processes to ensure consistently high quality of content to support business objectives.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
- 10 or more years of relevant work experience in payments, banking or fintech with a Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 5 years of client management, consulting, and/or analyst experience with global, enterprise technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- Hands-on content creation, including a variety of formats and delivery channels
- Strong knowledge of payments and Fintech space
- Knowledge of regional market, competitive landscape and related dynamics
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Skilled at client conversations and can clearly articulate payment flow, products, and technical solutions
- Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way
- Demonstrated ability to ‘ramp-up’ quickly, manage multiple workstreams at the same time, and work with sense of urgency
- Organizational and leadership abilities to influence, negotiate and drive results
- Embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 176,900.00 to 230,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
