Job Description
The Market Development & Data Commercialization Analyst will be part of the Global Data Office (GDO) team, which helps Visa solve critical business issues and take advantage of strategic opportunities through data-centric solutions. The Analyst will closely coordinate with other areas of the Global Data Office, including Innovation & AI, Data Platforms, Global Data Solutions, and Data Policy & Governance to identify new and innovative opportunities to enable and promote responsible data use and consumer empowering technologies.
The Analyst will contribute to the development of data priorities by identifying and helping develop strategic business cases to support Visa’s engagement with new and emerging technologies, particularly in the areas of privacy and consumer empowerment technology in GenAI. Analyst projects will focus on developing innovative new product concepts based on consumer and client needs, and accessible technology.
The ideal candidate will have a range of product, strategy, and technology experience with hands-on problem-solving and solutions development in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. The role requires the person to be comfortable with ambiguity, be a creative and independent thinker, analytically minded, and a self-starter.

Responsibilities
Accountable for creating regular reporting of market trends and innovative developments in the areas of privacy technology, GenAI, and consumer empowerment
Absorb new topics and concepts quickly and disseminate relevant details to the broader team after completing fact-based research and analysis, interpreting the results, developing a point-of-view, and translating conclusions into executive-level or external thought-leadership content (e.g., memos, white papers, PowerPoint briefs)
Lead market trends analysis, competitive analysis, and industry trends reviews to identify innovation opportunities for the Global Data Office to consider and develop into solutions
Demonstrate knowledge of capabilities and technologies in a payments and data ecosystem and the ability to apply them in a range of situations from ideation to solution. The ideal candidate has experience developing product specifications, product roadmaps, and/or engaging with technology
Develop detailed project plans, define tasks and timelines, to ensure accountability and action
Surpass expectations on initiative taking, follow through, and delivering results on time
Collaborate with colleagues using communication, creativity, and intellect
Be grounded in curiosity – always seeking to understand other points of views to create informed hypotheses
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, JD, MD)
1-2 years of experience in payments, product, strategy, or management consulting. Exposure to technology aspects of product development is definite a plus
Demonstrated ability to “ramp-up” quickly, participate multiple workstreams at the same time, and work with sense of urgency
Must have a mindset that embraces creativity, optimism, ambiguity, and adaptivity. Quick to focus, quick to pivot, and driven to deliver
Proven ability to work on complex and often ambiguous problems
Excellent project management skills, organization, and detail orientation
Analytical thinking with an ability to work with structured and unstructured data sets using MS Excel
Collaboration skills that establish effective relationships, with an emphasis on cross-cultural and global partnerships
Strong emotional IQ and highly empathetic building the ability to “read a room”
Must demonstrate maturity and professionalism when interacting and working cross-functionally with team members at all levels
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, expert-level PowerPoint skills
Willingness to experiment with and adopt new and evolving technologies

Additional Information

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 113,700.00 to 145,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
