Function/Team Summary

An essential element of Visa’s future is an unwavering dedication to the overall client experience.  The Billing Experience Team was created to enhance the billing process to prioritize client satisfaction, streamline operations, and foster long-lasting client relationships. 

Our team works closely with our Technology and Finance partners to develop billing solutions for an increasingly diverse set of clients and use cases.  In addition, we manage the prioritization of requests for billing automation throughout Visa. Central to our role is the constant challenge of driving improvement in how clients understand and compensate Visa for the value received.  This includes process improvement as well as increased transparency and ease of payment.

Essential Functions

The Billing Experience Team is looking for a product manager with financial knowledge to help transform the way our clients engage with our billing experience. This includes designing and building tools, services, and capabilities to ensure our clients have easy access to invoices, bills and other financial services pertaining to their Visa products.

This product analyst will have the opportunity to work with our Technology partners to write requirements, ideate on new ways to work and manage entire end-to-end process of Visa’s billing experience. 

The successful individual will be well-organized and display a high level of curiosity when applying analytical skills to solve business problems. This means someone who:

  • Has a product analyst mindset
  • Can evolve Visa’s billing platforms and systems
  • Quickly learns the essential elements of new use cases and Visa products
  • Embraces the opportunity to work with numerous teams throughout Visa to facilitate their requests for billing automation
  • Can apply critical thinking skills in the procurement of data and application of pricing/billing logic
  • Is excited about and wants to make an impact on the end-to-end client experience for Visa

This person will continually be exposed to a wide variety of billing needs within the context of the value exchange process. 

Specifically, the Product Analyst will:

  • Manage a backlog of all billing automation requests
  • Work with each of the requesting teams to write and groom requirements
  • Brainstorm and ideate on new ways to build experiences for our clients
  • Contribute to platform and system enhancements
  • Provide manual billing and client reporting functions as needed
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis, as needed, in support of our billing transformation in areas such as:
    • Client identification
    • Invoice access
    • Client reporting
    • Client feedback

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business management, or a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • Detail-oriented, self-starting, quick study able to become productive in a relatively short time frame
  • Analytical, fact-based, and able to query/organize data, draw insights/conclusions and package the results into understandable/useful information
  • Able to work independently and effectively manage one’s time within a complex and often ambiguous environment
  • Ability to excel in both structured and unstructured environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel features (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup)
  • Leads by influence, does not rule by hierarchy or authority
  • Knowledgeable on Visa’s array of products as well as the dynamics of the markets in which Visa operates
  • Experience with Visa’s Merchant Billing Platform (MBP) a plus

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,400.00 to 142,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
