Job Description

The Technology Planning & Business Operations organization provides business management oversight and integration across the Technology organization. This includes driving investment planning & budgeting, project & portfolio management, workforce planning activities, program management and delivery of strategic and transformational initiatives, executive reporting and employee engagement. The team is focused on efficiency, transparency, consistency, and partnerships within and beyond the Technology organization to achieve organizational goals.

As an Associate Business Analyst New Grad, you will contribute to a team that develops and manages end-to-end technology solutions for Visa's core business (credit and debit transactions) and key stakeholders as well as new solutions that promote the growth of digital commerce and mobilization

Some job duties and projects could include: 

  • Support the creation of reporting dashboards intended to provide automation of content entry, stake holder reviews & approvals and delivery.
  • Research and develop proactive investigation and reporting practices to meet internal operational service level agreements and commitments.
  • Support the building of partnerships with Social Impact team, Employee Communications and Technology Engagement Leads to revitalize and deliver Technology employee engagement.
  • Implementation of Jira & Jira Align to increase visibility and tracking of internal & cross functional deliverables.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Less than 2 years relevant work experience with either Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, or a related field, graduating January 2023 - August 2024.
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typgraphical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with a keen attention to detail. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels, capable of summarizing and communicating key information at an executive level
  • Expertise in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or Power BI would be a plus
  • Solid critical thinking, quantitative and qualitative analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience drawing actionable data insights from and formulating it into effective email, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.; ability to correlate data across multiple reports to ensure consistency
  • Strong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and document new or improved business processes and reporting mechanisms. Ability to map out as- is and to-be processes, and identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate processes utilizing tools and process improvements
  • Self-confident and self-driven, with the ability to collaborate or work independently with strong time management and ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments
  • Experience in the Payments and/or Technology industry would be a plus
  • The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on
  • Strong ability to collaborate

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $82,000, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
