Job Description
The North America Deal Team is responsible for supporting Visa strategic pillars and growth levers by focusing on deepening client partnerships. The Deal Team provides strategic, proactive analysis and problem solving, pulling the best of Visa into client centric strategic proposals. The team leads and supports a streamlined approach to the deal processes, reporting, compliance to Visa commitments, as well as strategic content and solutions that drive North America continued growth and success. The position is based in Foster City, California, with the flexibility to co locate in our San Francisco office.
Essential Functions
The team works closely with the North America Sales organization, Product, Marketing, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Finance, Legal, and other Visa teams to strengthen partnerships with more systematic and impactful client engagements
· Support Custom Deals. Provide deal leadership and support to win or renew critical deals
· Build and Enhance Grab and Go Proposal or Sales Content via Online Repository. Continuously build and enhance, as well as drive adoption and awareness of, the North America sales enablement repository, the Common Proposal Platform with client ready, legally approved proposal or product and services sales content
· Enable Product Sales. Define and drive product and services capability bundles into client needs centric solution sales materials
· Deploy New Deal Strategies. Define process, ensure alignment across Visa, and help drive training and communication for Visa assets, solutions, services, imbedded into deals
· Deal Process Improvement, Analysis, and Reporting. Provide AEs with best practices and insights to deepen client engagement. Improve efficiency and deliver new capabilities to the deal management process. Provide executive reporting and insights into key North America deals
· Special Projects. Support adhoc strategic projects, based on business needs
The Director will be a core member of the North America Deal Team. Ideal candidates will have a consultative, problem-solving mindset with the ability to lead cross functional teams to drive results. Ability to understand how Visa product, services and assets can come together to address specific client pain points and aspirations is also critical to success.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- 5 to 7 years business experience in Payments or Banking or Consulting organizations
- Track record of developing and communicating a strategy, building relationships across teams and key stakeholders to achieve business goals
- Excellent verbal and written skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders
- Must have a can do attitude and will do what it takes in order to move a program forward
- Ability to handle multiple projects and synthesize data
- Must have strong presentation skills and be comfortable presenting material in front of executive level audiences
- Ability to build credibility, influence and negotiate at highest levels within core segment organizations
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency, and deliver under tight deadlines or time frames
- Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 155,400.00 to 202,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
