Job Description
Visa’s Global Sales Enablement and Analytics Team (“GSEA”) is responsible for shaping the vision and executing the strategy for building transformational sales capabilities, including tools, materials, and insights to accelerate Visa’s sales and partnership efforts with merchants and enablers. Our team will also partner closely with our sales teams to better understand their needs and develop enablement programs that will help them be more effective at positioning Visa’s value to clients and partners.
GSEA is part of the broader Global Merchant Sales & Acquiring ('GMS&A') organization. In this global team, you will work many cross-functional leaders and subject matter experts including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, and other teams across Visa.
The Director of Global Sales Enablement will have a primary role in the development, design, and deployment of enablement strategies and programs. These programs are designed to support various transformation initiatives, aiming to build GMS&A into a world-class B2B sales organization and enable our sales teams to achieve Visa’s aggressive revenue targets. This role is also crucial in supporting the sales teams as they sell Visa’s solutions, deliver growth, and diversify revenue into Value Added Services and New Flows.
In this role, you will collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to guide the successful creation and delivery of global programs. These are designed to support all members of GMS&A client-facing teams, including leaders. Among other responsibilities, this role will help ensure that GMS&A has a robust knowledge sharing and training framework in place. You will work alongside Visa University, and in collaboration with regional and business unit stakeholders, to design, develop, and maintain any bespoke GMS&A training. Additionally, you will work with various stakeholders to maintain and evolve the GMS&A knowledge sharing channel, aiming to close gaps in usability and content and drive utilization.
This person will lead and/or represent GMS&A in multifunctional initiatives, including those led by the central Global Sales Commercialization and Operations team (“GSCO”), that aim to increase sales performance and productivity. With a strong bias for action, this person should be a highly effective program manager with a track record of supporting sales programs and projects that have delivered tangible and measurable impact to sales pipeline, booking and revenue targets in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.
The Director will be a seasoned professional with a passion for sales and sales enablement, with strategic thinking, and the ability drive execution in a fast-paced environment. With strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a positive can-do attitude.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute a training strategy to address global MS&A key learning needs including:
- Engage with GSCO and Visa University to ensure the Global Sales Excellence training curriculum and plans are customized to address GMS&A’s unique needs and business objectives.
- Work with Visa University, collaborating with regional and cross-functional stakeholders, to design, develop and maintain GMS&A bespoke global trainings to complement the Global Sales Excellence efforts.
- Collaborate closely with GSEA’s Analytics team to develop awareness/ training programs for key sales tools, with the aim of boosting their usage globally.
- Drive initiatives to foster knowledge sharing and elevate thought leadership within GMS&A including:
- Expand GMS&A content library through partnership with key global teams producing content and driving content sharing across GMS&A
- Devise and rollout various mechanism to promote knowledge sharing culture within GMS&A
- Empower GMS&A teams to amplify Visa's seller-side voice externally via employee advocacy and digital upskilling.
- Represent GMS&A in the Global Sales Excellence initiatives to develop a top-tier B2B organization. Actively contribute to the enhancement of Sales Enablement, Sales Culture, and Knowledge Management workstreams.
- Engage with GSCO and other stakeholders to develop and implement means to measure and report on GMS&A understanding, adoption and impact of various sales enablement programs and tools.
- Support other strategic sales enablement initiatives that might come up based on needs that arise from the business. Those range from highly strategic problems that need an extra set of hands, to quick initiatives that need short term solutions.
- This role includes one direct report, requiring the candidate to provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development support.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Experience in high growth B2B organization with a focus on selling complex, multi-product solutions
- Experience transforming sales culture within a B2B organization
- Passion for and ability to design and implement sales enablement programs and activities that level up our client facing teams and drive measurable business outcomes
- Possess the ability to understand and emphasize the importance of measuring and quantifying the impact of a program, using relevant metrics and data analysis.
- Ability to make informed decisions regarding global positioning, while also understanding and considering regional nuances.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 180,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
