Position Description
The Head of Business Process Optimization will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing strategies to optimize operational efficiencies, streamlining processes and programs and drive continuous improvement. This includes the oversight and management of sales processes, strategic programs, KSI and KPI coordination, Scorecard management, and implementation of effective strategic sales performance analytics and operational procedures to assist management in driving new sales and revenue growth within all regions. This position will work closely with sales and business leaders to determine business process improvements and interface with Finance and other functional business partners.
This is a senior leadership position, and as such, the candidate must possess strong commercial and operational acumen, coupled with leadership skills and payments industry knowledge to drive the best outcome for the business. This role reports to the Global Vice President of VAS Commercial Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of transformation managers in the development and execution of process improvement plans, applying methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile and other relevant frameworks.
- Overall accountability and responsibility for analyzing exiting workflows and processes to identify areas needing improvement. Conduct in-depth process analysis, including process mapping, data analysis, and root cause identification, to identify improvements as well as improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability.
- Develop initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders at various levels of the organization to ensure buy-in and awareness of initiatives as well as to promote and foster transformational change.
- Establish tools and processes to collect and measure relevant data, identify KPIs and KSIs and produce data driven analysis of critical sales and commercial operations functions whilst collaborating with Business Intelligence, Data Science and Data Analysis teams.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented process improvements, conduct regular reviews and audits, and identify opportunities for further optimization as well as, prepare and present comprehensive reports on process improvement initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
- Partner with VAS lines of business, as well as other VAS business partners to engage and organize subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs and salient information. Employ processes to effect accurate business planning, establish global cadence for business operations related activities.
- Responsible for all scorecard management for global Sales and Commercial Operations, inclusive of KSIs, KPIs and all non-financial metrics.
- Work collaboratively with all Sales leaders and Commercial Operations leaders on strategic growth programs. Lead and manage the progress reporting efforts related to these programs.
- Support Business Innovation, Deal Management, Sales Operations, SIP, BI, Sales Enablement, Sales Strategy and Acceleration and Sales GTM teams through project management of key initiatives and priorities related to business process optimization.
- Create processes and playbooks for transformational efforts related to future revenue growth (AANR) planning, market analysis in support of TAM, SAM and SOM.
- Develop globally consistent policies, based on corporate policies, business goals, and internal systems. Work with internal functional groups (HR, Legal, Finance and Marketing) to ensure process, policies, and strategies support both corporate needs and regional requirements.
- Build and maintain a team culture which is cohesive and accountable, ensure there is a consistent focus on talent management, development and build impactful succession plans.
- Maintain an ongoing focus on employee engagement levels, putting action plans into place to address areas of concern and lead cross functional working groups where required.
- Provides clarity on role and responsibilities, performance measures and key success areas. Ensures performance goals set for the team are aligned with SMART principles and reflect functional strategy.
- Communicates effectively and builds rapport with team members through regular dialogue and coaching.
- Builds momentum and creates energy to achieve the team vision and mission. Articulates progress against strategy on a regular basis.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10
years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA
/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with
9+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent fields.
• 15+ years of experience in commercial and operations management
• Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six-
Sigma, Business Process Reengineering, Agile, or other relevant frameworks.
• Experience of leading high performing teams, driving thought leadership and
continuous improvements with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and
influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Significant experience in financial management and strategic sales operations
planning in a B2B high-growth sales environment.
• Significant experience of using Tableau, BI and MSD CRM, including
production of reporting and analysis
• Experience in Sales Effectiveness Models
• Excellent verbal, analytical and written communication skills and interpersonal
skills
• Must possess 'can do' attitude and willingness to work in a new initiative
environment.
• Significant experience of working within businesses who have complex multi-
region operations with aggressive growth plans.
• Demonstrated experience of constructing strategic plans and successfully
executing against them with a collaboration mindset
• Must be able to skillfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues.
• Experience in working with cross-functional/cross-departmental and virtual
teams at a senior level.
• Self-starter with exemplary organization and resolution management skills
• Ability to mentor a team of operations and sales support colleague.
• Knowledge of payments industry preferred.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders and partners throughout the business.
• Outstanding attention to detail is required.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
