Job Description
The Director of Clearing Exchange Test Engineering will lead the team responsible for application testing, test tool development, resource planning and management of test resources within the Clearing and Settlement (CAS) organization. The role requires a firm understanding of software development and software testing, test automation and performance tools in an open systems environment. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, excellent communicator, have demonstrable expertise in test engineering, development and above all be customer and team focused. The candidate will manage and supervise assigned technical staff, work closely with peers in the development and test engineering teams within Payments Product Development as well as senior management and other groups across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance to engineers on their daily tasks including hands-on coding/testing as needed
Develop team by motivating, mentoring and assisting in hiring critical talent
Ensure adherence to coding and quality standards including code reviews, use of Git for code repository and leveraging Artifactory for application builds
Work with team to execute test automation strategy for Clearing Exchange
Collaborate with development teams to improve development and test processes
Ensure adherence to test processes including test documentation, peer reviews and stakeholder signoffs
Liaise with internal and external clients to support project testing requirements
Contribute to code and load quality initiatives
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 10+ years of work experience
• Experience managing a team of software and test engineers in a Windows, Linux based environment using open-source technologies
• Solid understanding of software development methodology, and test automation tools for UI and backend applications
• Good working knowledge of program and project management methodologies
• Passion for high quality software engineering
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and inter-personal skills.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or a related technical discipline is required
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $139,800.00 to $181,800.00, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
