Job Description

This is an exciting time to join U.S. Client Marketing, as we strengthen our focus on deepening relationships with established Clients and growing our Regional business.

As part of the U.S. Client Marketing team, the Senior Manager is responsible for client consultation to uncover needed product and payment marketing opportunities, development of holistic marketing plans to support client needs, and oversight of implementation of campaigns, events and sponsorship activations to ensure client satisfaction in the Regional segment.  Goals are focused on increasing Visa marketing revenue, as well as demonstrating the value Visa Marketing brings to clients and cardholders.  Clients will include Regional Banks and Credit Unions, Cobrand partners, internal stakeholders and colleagues and strategic relationships.  The Regional Marketing segment is a growing business within Visa and delivers value to clients through a range of services, from advisory to execution to sponsorships, via close partnerships with Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) and our sales organizations.

The ideal candidate understands the changing payments marketing environment, has credit and debit marketing experience, and is driven to create breakthrough work across all channels. The key to this job is having a focused strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and client service mentality, along with an emphasis on measurement to demonstrate value added services provided.

As part of the US Client Marketing Regional team, the Senior Manager will be focused on leading the Marketing Activity for a portfolio of clients within the total Regional Marketing issuer segment.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will lead data-driven marketing initiatives for Visa’s Regional Issuing clients, including consumer credit, debit, Small Business and Commercial.  The strategies will drive Visa purchase volume, Value Added Services revenue and overall client engagement. 

* Own and manage your work product with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing needs and work sets.  Lead projects or major project workstreams with limited oversight

* Leverage industry and Visa data, market research, best practices, etc. to gather and synthesize deep audience insights and deliver relevant recommendations to clients/stakeholders

* Design and oversee the successful execution of integrated B2C and B2B campaign activations, across multiple channels, including digital, social, OOH, experiential, event and point-of-sale

* Coordinate communication with sales, legal, product, creative, experiential & media agencies and implement high-impact programs on-time and on-budget.

* Optimize Visa Consumer and Commercial Marketing platforms and initiatives for clients to establish and deepen client relationships

* Leverage Visa’s iconic sponsorship platforms (NFL, Olympics, FIFA World Cup), as appropriate, to achieve client and Visa’s objectives

* Lead the measurement, analysis, and reporting of marketing program performance and its impact on business results

* Develop and manage marketing contracts

* Develop and manage Value Added Services Revenue forecast for key clients

* Budget management and financial discipline for all campaigns

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
- Experience in Marketing, Consulting and strategic partnership development. Payments experience preferred
- Strong business and financial acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management, planning, teamwork, relationship-building skills and experience in leading through influence
- Experience in managing creative, experiential, media, and social and/or digital agency partners
- Ability to generate and manage work-back timelines and navigate risks and obstacles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient on all Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Advanced level PowerPoint required

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 113,800.00 to 148,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
