Job Description
This Business Development Associate role is within the LAC Sales, comprised of a highly motivated team of business leaders who create impactful results with and for our clients. Striving to excel with our partners and via strong internal and external collaboration, as we look to enable and inspire all players in the ecosystem to deliver on our long-term regional goals in driving digital payments and financial inclusion.
This role will work closely with non-traditional issuers and acquirers and will be supporting the Sales Engine Team initiatives with reporting, sales analysis, report tracking, development of materials and compliance. Responsible for finding areas of improvement for the team to best serve this client segment. This position handles confidential and critical information for the team. The role is suited for a business savvy individual with analytical skills and financial services industry experience recommended.
Essential Functions,
- Work closely with account executives to support the management of Visa’s relationships with traditional & Non-Traditional Issuers and Acquirers. I.e. Fintechs, providing a reports to track different initiatives that Sales Engine participate and promotes.
- Provide the Business Development team, functional units and management with a clear picture of current business performance and progress towards targets via preparation of relevant reports and dashboards.
- Assume the role of single point-of-contact in managing and tracking all activities and work with in-country Business Development and functional teams to ensure goal alignment and execution on all initiatives to achieve LAC goals in each country.
- Acquire a solid understanding of portfolio clients and support the development of performance management tools.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments and functions to ensure an appropriate follow through on pending matters. E.g. licensing matters, campaigns and support, credit settlement risk, products papers, finance agreements and investment incentives, AML & compliance matters, etc
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Visa’s business, products/services, and corporate processes. Monitor product penetration reporting, ensuring best optimization of campaigns resources is achieved.
- Attend to all client queries and issues and provide timely and efficient solutions when team requires.
- Support the execution of the Sales Engine Business Plans and ensure initiatives, budget and KPIs are consistently met.
- Provide initiative support, tracking, problem-solving and project managing operational processes and workflows with other teams.
- Provide support to account executes in sales discipline for maintaining pipeline updated, to document all opportunities and Initiatives in the tool in an appropriate, consistent, and timely manner.
- Provide other controls as needed, to ensure the team is complying with internal policies.
- Actively participate in team’s activities, meetings, trainings, initiatives, etc.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Associate, Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience
- English and Spanish with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent presentation, organization, and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal (ability to interact with several teams simultaneously) and time management skills
- Detailed and numbers oriented
- Has strong reporting, documentation and presentation skills.
- Possess an analytical mind - be able to analyze situations and offer solution to common problems
- Able to work on own initiative and independently
- Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross functional relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge and understanding of electronic payments as a plus
- Strong ability to apply efficient decision-making, problem-solving and technical skills.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 72,000.00 to 91,800.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
