Job Description

The Technology Management team at Visa is looking for a Business Analyst to join their Technology Governance team. This team is the owner of an internally developed application, the candidate will work with product development teams, product users, and customers from various business units to deliver continuous improvement and governance.

This role will influence how requirements are implemented and how software and assets products are registered, reviewed and approved in Visa. As an analyst, you will capture, analyze and detail technical and business requirements, conduct data cleansing and analysis, provide support and communicate changes and improvements to users in multiple levels. The ideal person is naturally curious, self-motivator, organized and problem solver with a talent for learning and using tools.

  • Elicit requirements from customers and transform them into business or technical requirements that can be implemented.

  • Work closely with development team and aid on requirement understanding by setting expectations, creating mockups and data output.

  • Assist with day-to-day support to users during registration or scanning software processes.

  • Conduct basic testing on software to identify and resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues.

  • Working with business partners in Cybersecurity, Regulatory Risk, and Legal to develop appropriate governance objectives and develop trust with customers.

  • Integration of systems and tools with others within Visa to reduce potential contamination of data.

  • Achieving Program goals by collaborating with customers at all management levels across Visa, including architects and strategists, technical IT domain experts, business partners, vendors, and Visa senior management

  • Embracing teamwork while promoting a culture of openness and flexibility

  • Complete as-is and to-be analysis of standards and metrics to improve data quality and reporting.

  • Provide status updates to various levels of management.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualification
-3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 2-3 years of relevant experience including documentation of business and technical requirements.
- Concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical subject area and/or an MS/MBA is preferred.
- Ability to provide support to customers and provide solution to their requests.
- Knowledge of agile frameworks just as Jira and Kanban boards.
- Comfort in navigating between business-oriented and technical subjects.
- Basic experience with SQL queries, data analysis and visualization tools.
- Good communication skills including written, oral and presentation abilities.
- Basic quality assurance experience to conduct software testing and resources to identify and resolve bugs and defects.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 90,400.00 to 115,200.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
