Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand commercial flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team as we expand globally. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.  Our focus within Commercial Solutions is to identify needs, assess opportunities and options and quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution.

We are looking for an experienced relationship manager with financial service industry experience to lead Visa B2B Connect’s expansion initiatives. Visa B2B Connect is Visa’s first non-card, large value payment network using distributed ledger technology. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team as we expand globally.

Position Summary:

This role is a unique opportunity to join the Visa Global B2B Connect sales team as a sales relationship manager. This individual should be passionate about sales, driving results through growing existing client relationships, enhancing the client experience, innovation and business growth and will be responsible for delivering on sales targets and outcomes.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for portfolio management of existing clients in both the NA and LAC regions

  • Coordinate with Visa B2B Connect Sales Specialists and AEs/BDs in each region to retain and grow share of wallet for those clients

  • Deliver and execute on key sales performance metrics and measurements for Visa B2B Connect

  • Lead the client contract renewal process and partner with cross-functional team to execute

  • Actively call on clients and prospects and achieve meeting targets

  • Coordinate and collaborate with team to complete quarterly business updates for existing clients in both regions

  • Demonstrate excellent pipeline management skills through active utilization of MS Dynamics

  • Provide analysis, insight and ongoing monitoring of market trends, regulations and competitive analysis to enable Visa’s team to grow business with our clients and to cross-sell other key solutions where appropriate

  • Be a strong and articulate external voice of Visa

  • Serve as role model for the team. Be accountable for commitments, promote transparency and healthy debate on key issues and demonstrate ethical behavior, act with integrity

  • Refine and execute the vision for Visa B2B Connect to be recognized as the global network for financial institutions and their related value chain service providers

  • Take an active role in the future of the service by identifying and defining new payment use cases, be the advocate of those to the Visa B2B Connect Product team

  • Represent Visa B2B Connect at events

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Demonstrates Transaction and/or Correspondent Banking knowledge and/or has extensive Treasury Management experience
  • Previous experience in managing a client portfolio with achievement of specific and measurable sales targets
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a requirement given market coverage of both NA and LAC regions


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Demonstrate experience as a seasoned salesperson driving outcomes and achieving sales targets
  • Financial service industry experience – cash management, treasury technology experience a plus
  • Fluent in Portuguese (along with the requirements of English and Spanish)

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $182,500 to $237,200, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
