Job Description

The Payment Products Development team manages and evolves the end-to-end technology solutions and platforms that deliver reliable, scalable, and secure financial payment processing services to Visa’s clients. This is the team behind VisaNet, the network and core processing systems that drive our business and delivers the latest innovations for an increasingly mobile society, providing consumers with digital financial services, such as mobile payments, money transfers and top-up services.

The Technical Program Manager, Technology will be responsible for driving key aspects of the up-front planning and subsequent execution of large-scale strategic Technology initiatives that support the overall Technology Transformation agenda. This includes management of the strategic programs across scope, schedule, and budget components such as program management, financial planning & tracking, and governance & oversight responsibilities. This position interacts with a wide range of stakeholders both within Technology and also with cross- functional teams, including Finance, Strategy, Product, Legal, HR, Real Estate, Risk and Regulatory teams.

Responsibilities:

Provide program management, technical integration, and cross-functional execution of large-scale, high visibility strategic Technology initiatives.
Partner with key Technology and cross-functional stakeholders to drive key program activities: Manage program risks & issues

Engage with various Technology functional areas on implementation plans
Support executive management program updates and decision making
Track program budgets, forecasts, and schedule
Drive the day-to-day aspects of key initiatives, including overall management of scope, schedule, and financial aspects of the initiative. Provide oversight to the cross-functional team of project leads including program-level guidance and direction.

Support key strategic initiatives to drive global expansion and new site buildouts, workforce & agile transformation, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integration, and new market entry – with impact across client as well as employee audiences.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at
least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,
JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more
years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD in Business,
communications, Human Resources, Public Relations or Marketing.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressively relevant experience in corporate or
employee engagement, communications, program/project management, or
marketing, preferably in a global technology company or technology division of
a global financial services company.
• Demonstrated ability in creating holistic communication programs that span
engagement, content creation, social platforms, and virtual/in-person event
management. Understanding of various employee engagement frameworks
and drivers.
• Extensive experience providing advisory and direct support in developing
communications for executives and managers.
• Experience in event planning and management, including All Staff meetings,
employee forums and feedback sessions, and social and recognition events.
• Outstanding communicator with strong executive presence. Excellent
facilitation and collaboration with demonstrated ability in gaining trust,
securing buy-in, and influencing change at all levels.
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-based environment
that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and service-oriented.
• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with the
ability to distill technical information into stories for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to design surveys, capture data, and leverage output to measure
program effectiveness.
• Skilled in working with a variety of employee communication apps and
platforms (intranets, collaboration tools, blogs, video, photography, Sharepoint,
etc.).
• Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint) required.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 117,700.00 to 153,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
