Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to be responsible for the architecture, design, development, and implementation of software applications and/or systems with high-availability and high performance.  Evaluate and introduce technology tools and processes that enable Visa to develop products and solutions to embrace business opportunities and/or improve operational efficiency.  Develop and implement unified control center and monitoring tools to measure, monitor, and report on platform, data availability, utilization, capacity trend, and overall health metrics.  Formulate methods to enable consistent data loading and optimize data operations.  Monitor health of platforms, generate performance reports, and monitor and provide continuous improvements.  Ensure on-time delivery of projects, production support plans, and knowledge transfer for long-term supportability of upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.  Understand usage patterns and work load requirements of new projects.  Develop code and mentor junior developers to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and with good code quality.  Position reports to the employer's Foster City, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.  <span style=”color: #ffffff”>#LI-DNI</span>

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field, followed by 7 years of progressively responsible, post baccalaureate experience in a software engineering-related occupation.

Additional Information

Work Hours: : 40 hours/week. Monday – Friday.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $183,310.00 USD to $209,200.00 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
