We are currently hiring for a collaborative team-oriented Senior Java Software Engineer! In this role, you will be part of the Value-Added Services (VAS) Dispute Management Solutions team responsible for supporting the development of Verifi's B2B SaaS products and applications housed in our secure physical data center.

VAS is focused on executing the Visa merchant strategy, building deeper merchant and acquirer relationships, and increasing total merchant value by developing solutions that address complex and emerging merchant and acquirer needs. 

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and testing software applications, and documenting software design
• Applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products
• Performing code reviews to verify code changes meet development requirements, standard and best practice, and deploying and staging code in development environments
• Developing database queries, or code that generates queries and fixes bugs found in existing codebases
• Contributing to authoring large project deployment procedures
• Developing complex systems independently and designing multi-tier solutions
• Producing highly scalable, high performing applications
• Helping preserve goals and business requirements

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
