Job Description

The Director, Program and Product Development will be part of the Community Growth Acceleration Program (CGAP) team reporting to the Senior Director within the group.   CGAP is a program aimed to accelerate the growth of the Payments programs of the Visa Community Issuer segment.  The mission is to increase portfolio performance for all community issuers and enhance current offerings.  CGAP is focused on five pillars of growth focus Product Enhancement & Innovation, Marketing & Data, Advisory & Education, Industry and Community & Client Specific Initiatives.

The Program & Product Development Director will be part of the team to support the development, deployment, and management of the Community Growth Acceleration Program.   They will be responsible for the project oversight, implementation, and go to market strategies for new offerings as part of the Community Growth Acceleration Program. The Program & Product Development Director will facilitate both internal and external relationships with project teams, ensure project guidelines are outlined and followed and will work with the Community Team to ensure communication and go to market strategies are completed.  The ideal candidate is adept at building cross-functional relationships, working with various levels of internal teams, and is motivated by both independent and collaborative excellence.  They will demonstrate individual resourcefulness and a drive to get things done with a collaborative, make it happen approach with a keen focus on communication within the team and the greater Visa Community FI organization.

Key Goals & Responsibilities

  • Oversee project implementation and go to market strategies for new CGAP offerings
  • Lead pilot projects and capture best practices for BAU launch changes
  • Vette new potential product offerings for CGAP
  • Ensure CGAP strategies and objectives are being met with new offerings
  • Ensure proper processes are documented and implemented
  • Assist in developing the GCAP Playbook with Go To Market strategies
  • Update Community Sales team on project progress
  • Participate in leveraging CGAP to provide greater access for Community Issuers to the breadth of Visa products, services, tools, marketing, data and analytics and advisory services technologies in support of sales organization productivity.
  • Provide timely and accurate communications to key stakeholders, participate in cross-functional briefings.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • At least 10+ years of experience, including P&L accountability in a sales environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Proven comfort and agility in operating within a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Has a strong base of network partners that can be leveraged to expand the business
  • Posture toward consultative selling to win new business opportunities
  • Financially literate applies financial analyses to evaluate business opportunities and make strategic choices

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 139,800 to 181,800 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
