Job Description

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for securing employee access to our core applications in the most efficient, compliant, and user-friendly manner, innovatively using the latest industry standards and tools. Our goal is to become the gold standard for IAM worldwide, and we are already on our way, recently winning Oracle’s annual Identity Management Innovation award.

Visa's IAM eco-system includes an extensive, and highly customized, rich Identity Management platform implementation.  The team has successfully implemented many of the core components. With a constant moving and expending environment, the IAM team is exploring all processes and technology to expend the security coverage and improve the end user experience.

 

With the additional features and the goal of extensive coverage comes a higher level of complexity, criticality, overall usage, and dependency on the environment.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Systems Administrator with development background to become a member of our Global team of IAM experts to lead and influence further development, operations, and support of the IAM environment as well as collaborate with   Visa eco-system IT teams and Cybersecurity stakeholders.

 

The successful candidate will have a fundamental understanding of networking and security concepts as well as hands-on in-depth experience with a programming/scripting language. In addition, the candidate should possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, and the willingness to take on challenges.

 

Essential Functions

  • Take ownership of a Zero Trust IAM solution in production such as detection of private SSH keys on Linux servers, provision SSH keys or KERBEROS Keytabs to allow users and service accounts to connect to Visa’s systems, or Password Management solution for shared accounts or service accounts. 
  • Manage its asset lifecycle, resolve its vulnerability findings, ensures successful completion of disaster recovery exercise and be responsible of its availability according to SLA.
  • In concert with key stakeholders, establish a strategic operating model for all Design horizontals and verticals to enable an industry-leading product design practice internally and externally.
  • Develop standard scalable methods to drive effectiveness of internal processes to manage talent, workflow, capacity, governance, tools, productivity, quality, and cost
  • Champion an internal design culture that raises the bar on performance, expectations, and outcomes to deliver outsized impact that can be evangelized externally
  • Plan and facilitate initiatives and workshops with key cross-functional leadership to enable transparency, alignment, and contact awareness
  • Demonstrate proactive change management, crafting a shared narrative for transformation with stakeholders to align goals, link strategies and define the future state for the Design organization
  • Drive initiative to implement automatic installation and patching mechanism for self-healing solutions or bulk platform install/updates.
  • Work closely with Management, Development team, and the Quality Assurance team to communicate production issues and propose solutions
  • Design and implement Service metrics and activity reports
  • Responds to alerts/week-end urgent requests and production situations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer reported incident within SLA .
  • Report issues with customer impact to management and document solution to prevent them to happen again.
  • Design and implement monitoring tools for IAM solution outage, performance degradation or reported service errors.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to work with a vast array of information and able to cope with rapidly changing information
  • Work within a globally distributed team of IAM team members and customers, sometimes having to provide support outside of normal business hours and on weekends.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience
with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience
with a PhD
• 5+ Years of experience Operation management in premises and or in Clouds
• 5+ Years of experience administering and deploying IAM or Zero Trust service(s)Tier 0 / Tier 1
services such as Universal SSH Key Manager (UKM)or Enterprise Password Manager solution.
• 5+ Years of experience of troubleshooting application(s) in complex network environment and
writing situation report to prevent future occurrence of event
• 5+ Years administering disaster recovery solution, troubleshooting, and optimizing High Availability
solutions
• 5+ Year of experience Relational Database and/or Elasticsearch
• 3+ Years of Cloud service deployment and administration
• 3+ Years of experience with a programming/scripting language such as Java, Unix Shell, C#,
PowerShell, or Perl

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 180,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
