Job Description
The Senior Director of Learning Experience will lead a cross-functional team of learning design, development and delivery professionals who bring innovative learning solutions to life for Visa colleagues through the 3Es of learning: experience, exposure, and education.
As a key member of the Visa University (VU) Leadership Team, you will implement a new strategy that emphasizes blended formal and informal learning across the 3Es. You will leverage a world-class learning tech stack to produce cutting-edge learning solutions, invest in the continued growth and development of our talented designers, developers and facilitators, and incorporate leader-led and team-based learning into our delivery approach. You will increase learner engagement by orchestrating a go-to-market approach for VU that facilitates ease-of-access to learning solutions and builds awareness, adoption and excitement for learning. You will manage and augment your team’s capacity by partnering with best-in-class vendors.
Reporting to the Global Head of Learning, you will collaborate closely with other members of the VU leadership team and the Learning Consultants who support each Visa business area and region. You will be responsible for building and executing an internal capability enhancement strategy for the Learning Experience team.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
10+ years of experience in learning design, development, and deployment for various audiences – leaders/managers, sales, services/support, technologists, partners, clients, etc.
Master’s degree in a related field (Human Resources, Organization Development, Instructional Design, etc.)
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience mobilizing a diverse team around a shared set of goals, coaching and developing team members, and fostering an inclusive culture rooted in psychological safety.
Demonstrated experience with designing, developing and deploying innovative learning experiences through a variety of modalities such as instructor-led training, eLearning, learning experience platforms, social learning, microlearning, simulations, leader-led development, virtual/augmented reality, adaptive learning, etc.
Systems thinking skills, with the ability to integrate the overall learner experience across content domains and systems in order to develop a go-to-market strategy.
Deep knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply change management practices and adult learning philosophy.
Experience with Agile management practices, including working iteratively with cross-functional, self-managed teams.
Strong communication (written and verbal), consulting, stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels of an organization.
Skilled in building external partner relationships and vendor management.
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 174,600.00 to 240,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
