Visa’s Global Sales and Commercial Operations team supports the execution and delivery of key global initiatives and planning activities across the company and reports directly to the CEO.  Our mandate is to develop, design, and execute the strategic direction for Visa’s business operations and global sales organization, be the super connector for the markets, regions, global groups, and bring a consistent voice and ‘One Visa’ mindset.  The team has the following key focus areas: Business Performance, Sales Excellence, Sales Enablement and Sales Tools.    

This role will report into the Business Performance organization which includes Scorecard, Sales compensation strategies and programs (MIP and SIP), Target setting, the TRUTH business performance dashboards, and Client Insights program (survey, touchpoints). This Senior Manager will provide data support for the execution and delivery of key global strategic initiatives and operational processes. They will be expected to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions, providing analytical and business case modelling support, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Establish data processes and automations, based upon business and technology requirements, leveraging Visa’s supported data platforms and tools.

·       Develop and maintain data models and schema designs for efficient data storage and retrieval, with a strong understanding of best practices in data modeling and data architecture.

·       Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse, with a strong focus on reusability, performance, and scalability.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data driven solutions.

·       Create data dictionaries, setup and monitor data validation alerts, and execute periodic jobs to maintain data pipelines for completed projects.

·       Own relationship between the TRUTH and GARP and IT and define requirements for GARP data enhancements in JIRA.

·       Support Scorecard production runs and process data source refreshes on Tableau Server

·       Collaborate with the data platform team to design, develop, and maintain the infrastructure required for data storage, data processing, and data retrieval systems.

·       Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide technical support.

·       Identify areas of improvement and implement solutions to automate and optimize production processes and increase efficiency.

·       Implement data quality and data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

·       Develop data solutions using Agile principles.

Other Business Performance team responsibilities include:

·       Provide analytical, business case modelling support for market initiatives, as needed

·       Proactive problem solving. Propose informed ideas on process improvements and practical solutions to identified shortcomings

·       Strategic Initiatives. Support team in various strategic initiatives that arise based on needs and problems that arise from the business. Can range from highly strategic problems that need an extra set of hands, to quick initiatives that need short term solutions, to processes that need to an efficient and solutions-oriented redesign.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
5+ years of experience across operations, sales or strategy.
• Sound understanding of payments systems and Visa’s business
• Demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly in scenarios that are not well defined or structured
• Strategic and analytical thinker, able to move seamlessly from high level concepts to details and solutions without much guidance
• Expertise in data warehousing, ETL, and data modelling to support data-driven decision making
• Strong understanding of best practices in data pipeline design and performance optimization
• Knowledgeable on latest data engineering trends and technologies to improve data infrastructure and data processing
• Ability to extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as Hadoop (Hive), Spark, Python (pandas, NumPy), Presto, and SQL.
• Results-oriented individual who challenges the status quo to drive a culture of constant improvement with customers and markets at the center
• Effective communicator, especially with executives and in ambiguous situations. Ability to explain complex concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way
• Strong pre-existing internal network at Visa a plus
• Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,300.00 to 185,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
