Job Description

Visa DPS faster payments team is building the future of money movement for our clients, expanding on the Visa mission of being, the best way to pay and be paid to include both card-based and account-based transactions. The Product Analyst will help shape the future of DPS faster payments product offering, with focus on delivering the settlement, reconciliation, and fraud strategies for the product line. In addition to the settlement, reconciliation, and fraud strategy items, the Product Analyst supports business operations functions such as client onboarding, client implementation, client certification testing, billing, and documentation. This position works closely with other internal Visa product teams, engineers, operations, implementations and partners to deliver high-value functionalities.

The ideal person for this role should have a passion for innovative payment solutions, technology, and product management, and a proven track record of delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with internal product teams, engineers, architects, go-to-market teams, and technical writers to define, build, deliver, and refine our faster payments settlement, reconciliation, reporting and fraud prevention solutions. 

  • Play the role of a Product Owner on agile scrum team and will:

    • Ensure an agile mindset in the team delivery.

    • Bring product vision, customer insights and feedback to the team.

    • Decompose features into user stories and support development activities.

    • Actively manage and prioritize team backlog and evaluate changing business/market conditions and impact to priorities.

    • Communicate status updates in a transparent manner with key stakeholders on a frequent basis.

    • Deliver sprint review demos that communicate the product value proposition.

    • Own the feature through development lifecycle to client consumption in production including Go to Market (GTM), service description and onboarding documentation as necessary.

    • Appropriately prioritize defects based on impact and provide update to stakeholders on frequent basis.

  • Produce documentation on the services, implementation guides and work with other stakeholders to onboard, implement and support clients.

  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to effectively build, launch, and communicate new product features.

  • Decompose the settlement, reconciliation, and fraud-related Epics into Features, and collaboratively prioritize the Features.

  • Deliver high-quality client facing product documentation.

  • Assist in the client onboarding functions.

  • Deliver competitive research to help shape the future roadmap.

  • Willing to lend a hand to accomplish team objectives.

  • Give and receive feedback from your product teammates.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 1 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA) 


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately. 
  • You have prior experience working within an agile product development environment.
  • Payments experience, or experience with products sold to financial institutions is a plus.
  • You have a passion for getting into the details.
  • Client focus and have experience working with clients
  • Experience working with Jira and Jira Align.
  • Technical acumen and an ability to engage with engineers and product to develop solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work creatively, and a clear ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 94,700.00 to 110,700.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
