Job Description
What’s it all about?
The Senior Consulting Manager will report into the Visa UK&I Consulting team to deliver projects for Visa clients in the payment’s domain.
Core responsibility of the Senior Consultant will be to oversee consulting activities, delivering high quality consultancy engagements in the UK & I Cluster, building and nurturing fruitful business relationships between Visa and its key clients.
This role will manage internal and external project team members and assume responsibility for project budgets, including contributing to annual and longer-term consulting sales and delivery targets.
What we expect of you, day to day.
- Understand our clients’ business objectives, needs, plans etc. in collaboration with the Account Management Team
- Identify opportunities and improvements to grow the business of our clients
- Develop and propose appropriate project approaches and business solutions to the clients
- Lead and manage the delivery of consultancy engagements to clients (as assigned)
- Lead and deliver projects through either self, other internal or external staff as appropriate
- Manage the delivery of analytics solutions and data insights together with our Data Science team
- Manage project costs to agreed budgets and timeframes and ensure high standard of delivery
- Develop Thought Leadership across a variety of topics including the future of payments and the UK&I banking ecosystem
- Leverage Visa’s innovation, product and data capabilities to further grow our clients’ business by working together with the sales and product teams as well as the Visa Innovation and Data Sciences team
- Build and retain Visa Consulting relationships to our key clients
- Support Visa Consulting and Analytics practice development by developing skills, tools and innovative methodologies at a personal and team level
Qualifications
What we're after...
- Significant experience in retail banking and/or payment card industry and/or merchant retail business
- Proven experience in management consulting, with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies
- Project experience in a digital and technology-driven environment
- High intellectual capability evidenced by strong analytical skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools and the use of data insights for business growth in a digital and technology-driven environment
- Excellent client relationship management skills (also on senior executive level and across all levels of an organisation)
- Strong sales orientation, experience selling major projects/ideas to senior management
- Excellent spoken and written command of English.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to comprehend and convey complex technical information
- Strong Business Acumen and Business Analysis Skills (research and analyse market and client information to tell a story)
- High levels of integrity and business ethics
- Willingness to travel where required.
- Willingness to maintain professional development.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
