Job Description

The Global Commercial & Money Movement Account GM is part of Visa’s Global Client organization and is one of the highest impact Client development roles of the team.  This role is accountable for driving global sales strategy, payment volume, and revenue in partnership with one of our largest global financial institutions.  The position involves oversight of our relationship with the global Client in North America, LATAM, APAC and EMEA as well as critical collaboration with our internal counterparts leading the Client relationship within region.

This role requires strategic leadership, strong team leadership skills, innovation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills in a highly matrixed environment and a bias towards action and inspiring others with their vision.  They will bring prior experience in establishing mutually beneficial partnerships and solution selling, as well as a deep knowledge of B2B payments and related technology.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced leader with deep expertise in commercial solutions and cross-border money movement as well as the highly competitive commercial marketplace.  Candidate will be comprehensively responsible for identifying new payment flows in the commercial and treasury ecosystem while working with the teams at Visa and industry partners to deliver on new payment flows. Exposure to card, non-carded flows, and other commercial treasury payment solutions will be key to success of this individual. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support team that includes Global Client Sales and Global Client Strategy in development and execution of multi-year sales and growth strategy around the expansion of B2B/Commercial Payments and Money Movement globally and in alignment with the regional product and country managers.

  • Execute on the partnership to win new commercial business for our Client using Visa Commercial & Money Movement platforms and services

  • Manage, execute, and understand in detail all Global Commercial and Money Movement contracts/agreements with Client.

  • Support short and long-term sales pipeline planning on a global basis for net new wins as well as retentions.  Ensure that joint Client-Visa business plans increase profitability, strengthen Visa’s partnership with both the Client and their end customers, and support both organizations’ mission and priorities.

  • Orchestrate and manage systematic Client engagement meetings with our Client’s leads from the regions, global scheme management product management as well as separate internal and external Quarterly Business Reviews to manage the state of the business.

  • Appropriately assess and manage risk, including driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding business practices and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with timeliness and transparency.

  • Work with Client and internal Visa teams on opportunity development and management, analyze Client profiles, product profiles as well as strategic moments with the purpose of collaborative solutioning to the needs of the Client and increasing their engagement level with Visa.

  • Monitor industry activities and acquisitions as well identify key opportunities and/or competitive threats.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
• Understanding of payment systems (card networks, wires, ACH, RTP, digital wallets, cross-border payments). Experience with network, issuer, processor or accounting software partners, accounts payables/receivables, liquidity and working capital.
• Experienced solution sales leader with a record of accomplishment for delivering results, must possess the ability to identify the inspired path forward to partner, structure creative financial partnership constructs, and demonstrate success in contract negotiations to drive a deal to close quickly
• Strong customer-facing communication skills and technical aptitude. Experience in managing relationships and cultivating deep, trusted partnerships with Clients and partners.
• Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an engaging way
• Natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and strong executive presence. Must be self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and competence to influence across multiple levels and organizations including internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and group presentation skills. Executive presence and comfortable presenting with Executive and C-Suite.
• Exceptional strategic, problem solving and analytical skills, capable of clearly communicating a vision to his/her team, the company and our Clients.
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to challenge the status quo and identify new opportunities to innovate and differentiate.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 181,800.00 to 250,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
