Visa Direct, a real-time payments network for business and person-to-person (P2P) payments, is helping financial institutions and technology companies allow their customers to transfer funds to a debit account in 30 minutes or less. Visa Direct is present in 170+ countries, handles more than 3.5 bn transactions per year and reaches more than 5 billion endpoints around the world.
Job Description
The new hire will work closely with Visa’s Chief of Staff Visa Direct and Global Ecosystem to provide global and regional strategic support on all internal and external initiatives. This role will help drive the strategy and transformation of NA Visa Direct while collaborating with key members of the NA Leadership Team, Global Visa Direct Team, and multiple members of the Executive Committee on permanent basis.
This role encompasses:
1. Supporting key processes:
a. Developing and maintaining established internal communications architecture such as bi-weekly all-hands, and newsletters to empower, align, and motivate
b. Coordinating the creation of materials for key cadences such as MBRs, QBRs, All-staffs, Global and NA LT sessions, CEO updates and client councils/forums with the Visa Direct Leadership Team
c. In conjunction with the Communications and Visa Direct teams, developing internal and external presentations to keep the NA Visa Direct narrative alive and consistent
d. Working with the partnering functions to collect key developments and highlights in preparation for meetings and discussions and prioritizing business topics
e. Serve as a liaison with Global Visa Direct, NA Business Strategy and Ops, Investors Relations and Communications team to provide information for Visa CEO, CFO, President, and Investment Community forums and reports.
f. Proactively seek “success stories” across NA Visa Direct and Global Ecosystem, organization to communicate to VD & NA LT and Regional President to promote the progress against scorecards or important milestones.
g. Have a holistic view on Visa Direct business performance, financials and the latest trends impacting money movement industry to include into the Visa Direct narrative for internal and external communications.
2. Culture and Collaboration
a. Improving processes continuously by leading continuous change management, created automated processes and controls to increase team productivity
b. Developing better relationships and act as a strategic point of contact between Visa Direct team and core stakeholders (e.g., New Payment Flows Team, Communications, Finance, HR, Marketing, and many other business partners internally/externally, including Client teams, Technology, Design, Data Science)
3. Execution
a. As a strategic advisor to the NA Visa Direct and Global Ecosystem teams, organizing and prioritizing critical information, issues, and data to facilitate efficient decision-making
b. Managing specific deliverables for the Chief of Staff of Visa Direct, ensuring timely completion - these may range from ensuring that project actions are acted upon to addressing time-sensitive requests from senior management
This role sits at the intersection of multiple functions as a result organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical. This role works with other specialized Product groups, Financial Institution Sales, Merchant Sales, Regions, Operations, Technology, Risk, Data Science, Design, Marketing, Communications, Legal, Corporate Strategy, Interchange/Pricing, and Finance to coordinate and continue to build great products. The individual will be a thought leader in business communications and business growth with a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• 7+ years of experience, including at least three years of experience in payments industry
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong customer-centric mindset
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results
• Passionate about what you do and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader
• Possess a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers
• Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation necessary. Active listening skills required
• Proven project development experience
o Strong sense of urgency and experience driving to successful commercialization

o Strong collaboration and influence skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams to drive initiatives to completion

• Visa and financial/payment industry knowledge a plus

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,300.00 to 185,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
