Job Description

  • Lead team responsible for all business operations, communications and training for the Global Standards Management function, including managing two Analysts

  • Provide ongoing support to an executive level Steering Committee established to help provide executive level decision making and escalation as relates to the company’s standards and industry engagement

  • Help define the framework and implement ongoing support to a standards organization relationship management program

  • Oversee the ongoing development and implementation of the communications, information reporting and education plan, evolving plan based on key stakeholder feedback

  • Manage periodic executive and detailed status reporting, required for executive level and participant audiences

  • Oversee all business operational and governance activities, including project and program management, participation tracking and auditing, budget management. Refine existing approach and processes, as needed

  • Ensure all corporate requirements are met, including annual goal planning, team performance reporting using OKRs, creation of presentations to senior management as needed, (such as risk oversight, monthly business reviews), also internal audit, file retention, and other programs as required.

  • Develop tools roadmap for the Standards Management team to support the operations functions, working with IT partners to develop requirements

  • Partner with Risk to develop a standards risk framework

  • Support the GSM industry expert team with research on industry and competitor activities, as needed

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Experience in financial services with an understanding of payments and technology is essential
• Proven business operations and project or program management skills, highly organized, and with experience of exercising informal authority in cross functional team settings
• Excellent people management skills, strong in mentoring and leading a small team
• Proven data analytical skills, with ability to interpret data and translate to actionable recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build connections with internal Visa team
• High level of curiosity and initiative, with drive to help enhance the current governance model
• Highly flexible, with ability to adapt and shift priorities as the team continues to evolve its goals and objectives
• Enjoys working in a team environment, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively across functional areas
• Outstanding communications and presentation skills, with an ability to effectively convey messaging to audiences including staff at different levels of seniority
• Enjoys working in a multitasking environment and simultaneously manage multiple issues and projects with limited resources
• Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 107,900.00 to 140,300.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
