Job Description

The LAC, Director of Merchant and Acquirer Solutions, will be responsible for leading the go to market strategy of Merchant and Acquirer Visa solutions and programs within the LAC region.

This exciting opportunity is with Visa’s MS&A Acceptance Solutions team and focuses on technologies to enhance security and customer experience on both moments of pre purchase (Tokenization, Authentication, Click to Pay, Tap to Phone) and post purchase (RDR, Order Insight, Compelling Evidence 3.0). This professional will also be completely involved on Visa Programs and Policies that touch the seller side of the business (System Integrity Fees, Expanded Authorizations, Processing and others).

Responsibilities

  • Leads product go to market strategies and works cross-functionally to drive local product and client awareness.
  • Drives analytic and strategic planning efforts for the Merchant and Acquirers LAC solutions business.
  • Champions data-driven decisions for new products introduction and to enhance existing products.
  • Advocates for and champions designated products internally and externally with constant communication with markets and clients.
  • Identifies, designs and submits business cases for consideration and prioritization for new business, product opportunities to improve business and generate more revenue to Visa.
  • Influences and tracks the adoption of key new strategic initiatives for Visa LAC.
  • Selects and monitors performance metrics that assess product performance, revenue, scalability and longevity, and utilizes results to ideate innovative solutions to challenges in the business unit's portfolio or product strategy.
  • Leads market analysis and recommends ways to leverage those to inform product and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develops value propositions for products or suite of products and helps build an effective offer to sales channels.
  • Manages the network of Enablers on selected products like Tap to Phone.
  • Co-Develops Product Roadmap to cover new market requirements on the clusters and coordinate with the development areas it´s deployment plans
  • Supports the local Solutions teams to ensure any new product requirements are captured with a supporting business case

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of work experience in payments or related technology/financial services field, with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD)

Travel- This position will have approx. 15-20% travel

Preferred Qualifications
•Proven ability to demonstrate leadership, coordination, and project management skills
•A strategic and analytical mindset who understands regional market trends and penetration tactics while identifying key insights and developing them into business strategies
•Proven verbal and written communication skills – including the ability to speak to different constituencies such as product, operations, and sales
•Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
•Extensive experience executing product adjustments across payment types, technologies and customer industries
•Experience translating strategies into product launches and implementation plan in multiple markets
•Proven experience navigating and supporting change programs across functional teams
•Successful track record of building relationships and engaging with colleagues across functions, levels, and geographies
•Vision and drive to set direction for commercial go-to-market plans and leveraging market insights to differentiate from competitors
•An understanding of the Latin America Markets and the ability to communicate in a multicultural environment
•Multi language fluency – English & Spanish (Portuguese desirable)

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,100.00 to 171,700.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
