Job Summary

The Risk MIS team has a simple mission: to turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights that ensure seamless, secure commerce experiences across Visa’s physical and digital ecosystems. Our team of analytic and data professionals achieves this mission by implementing data-based solutions, analysis, and insights targeted at maintaining security, reducing fraud rates, and preserving the integrity of the world's largest payment processing network.

The Senior Manager in MIS & Platforms will be responsible for leading global analytics initiatives, utilizing their expertise in data management, analytics, and visualization to provide data-driven insights to stakeholders. This position is crucial in ensuring the security and success of the Visa brand. The role is a critical part of Visa's Risk organization and requires strong analytical and leadership skills, as well as contextual business knowledge and creativity to address real-world challenges for both Visa and its clients. The Senior Manager's expertise and insights will serve as a guide for data-driven business decisions. They will report directly to the Global Head of Risk MIS & Platforms and interact with senior leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities

      Utilize expertise in data management, analytics, and visualization to identify and communicate emerging risks and trends to stakeholders. This includes leading the development of interactive and intuitive data visualizations and reports that communicate insights to stakeholders.

      Perform in-depth analysis on global initiatives and various regional priorities to deliver insights. This involves comparing regional performance against industry best practices to identify performance improvement opportunities.

      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure that solutions meet those needs. This includes working closely with stakeholders at all levels and communicating effectively with them.

      Lead a team of engineers and architects to develop and implement scalable, secure, and visually appealing reporting that meet the organization's requirements. This includes ensuring data quality and consistency, managing data pipelines, implementing data governance policies.

      Have experience with agile methodologies to ensure the effective management and delivery of BI and automation projects.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or at least 2 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Some organizations may also require a Ph.D. in a related field.

• At least 8-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing successful AI/ML projects. This includes expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, data mining, ETL, and other data-related technologies, as well as programming languages such as Python, R, Hadoop, and SQL.

• Strong business acumen and understanding of how AI/ML can be applied to business problems. This includes experience in developing and executing data-driven strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.

• Have experience with ML/AI. Proficient with Python to apply predictive/forecasting models to large datasets.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is also essential.

• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire teams, build a positive and collaborative team culture, and drive innovation and continuous improvement. This includes a proven track record of leading and managing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,300.00 to 185,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
