Job Description

What a Director – Installments solutions (seller) does:

This role will focus on driving the accelerated delivery and expansion of Visa’s Installment solutions in Australia and New Zealand’s seller channels.

You will drive the specialized sales, solutioning and onboarding of merchant acquirers, gateways and enablers into Visa’s Installment solutions, delivering merchant adoption through this ecosystem enablement.

You will need to be highly collaborative and be the key expert influencing regional and global teams to ensure we deliver on the product roadmap, consumer and merchant adoption and market delivery.

You will provide expert advice to clients who want to use Visa's installments as a value added service to their merchants in both face to face and ecomm channels. You will do this by demonstrating an understanding the client's business and articulating the market opportunity and help them find the right solutions. 

Working closely with the rest of the installments teams to identify capability gaps and product opportunities, including revised commercials to ensure we gain maximum scale whilst ensuring fairness across the ecosystem.

We are looking for a self-starter who has in-depth expertise with experience working in a matrixed structure and adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver best solutions for our clients.

Goals for this role:

  • Own and deliver on the seller side acceleration strategy, including recommendations on, investments required and identifying specific levers for acquirer adoption
  • Enablement of over 10% of the market in the first year on the seller side, including face to face and ecommerce channels
  • Leverage the existing sales pipeline and work to accelerate contract signing (1 acquirer at scale or many enablers to create scale) – seeking min $0.5B in payment volume in the program in FY24
  • Sign and deploy as many enablers as possible prior to Christmas period to drive adoption over the peak spend period
  • Convert global and regional deals to be enabled in local market at pace

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of work experience in acquirer or gateway industry role, store finance or loyalty management, or merchant acquiring preferably with an innovation/digital focus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems. An MBA/MS is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of the consumer installments and Buy Now Pay Later landscape and how to apply this to the evolving digital payments world and the benefits for merchants
  • A passion for emerging payment technologies and ability to translate concepts and product strategy into executable plans
  • An understanding of both consumer payments and merchant business drivers
