Overview
Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to cards, bank accounts and wallets around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, business to micro-business transfer (e.g., payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursements (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more. The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion USD of payment volume globally.
Job Description
The candidate will report to the Senior Director, LAC Visa Direct Product Management and will support the commercialization, expansion, go-to-market strategy, pricing and product management of Visa Direct for the Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean region, including driving and coordinating partnerships, enablers engagement, product capacitation activities, supporting the Visa Direct pricing and deal framework, managing an integrated opportunities pipeline in collaboration with key internal functional leads including specialized sales, country teams, client services, technology, risk, B2B marketing, finance, etc. to ensure the required level of Visa Direct knowhow to support clients.
This includes continually assessing the country ecosystem readiness, support for designing the architecture of new Visa Direct programs, monitor programs performance, continuous support for fast funds and account funding implementation, etc.
The candidate should also come-up with new ideas, non-traditional channels, use cases and build partnerships to grow and scale Visa Direct.
Inherent in Visa Direct team are sporadic and unplanned activities that support the strategic interests of the business. The person may be tasked with evaluating market disruptions and assist with defining plans to address as the competitive and regulatory landscape evolves.
Responsibilities
•Visa Direct product management, including end-to-end project implementations and operation oversight of Visa Direct in Mexico, Central American and Caribbean region
•Support Visa Direct commercialization and Go-to-Market strategy, including market analysis activities and go to market plans
•Equip sales teams to independently sell Visa Direct
•Support specialized sales and business development to develop Visa Direct deal structure (incentives, pricing, terms, and execution)
•Work closely with internal business areas, to identify and assess partners who can support Visa Direct expansion strategy and drive adoption
•Work with cross-functional teams within Visa to do internal alignment and get buy-in during yearly planning process (Visa Direct team members, business development, merchant sales & acquirer, core products, marketing, client services, technology, risk, government relations, etc.)
•Deliver ad hoc analysis as needed to support Visa Direct team as a whole
•Continuously monitor the market landscape for competitors, trends and regulations that may have an impact on Visa Direct.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years or work experience with a
PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an
Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• BA/BS required. Post Graduate degree in Business Administration strongly preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience with payments, or digital solutions
• Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills necessary in Spanish and English
• Expert level PowerPoint and advanced level excel skills required
• Communication skills are critical in this role both written and oral. The role will require extensive
collaboration with multiple teams
• Critical thinker, strong organization skills, ability to summarize findings from data, curiosity to deep
dive on root cause of trends
• Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions
to problems and opportunities
• Detailed oriented, is expected to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in market analysis
• Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross
functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately
• Curiosity about financial/payment industry and a desire to roll up your sleeves to help take open-
ended and ambiguous areas of interest and help to bring clarity to the team
• Travel to Mexico, Central America and Caribbean markets may be required up to 15 percent of the
time.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,100.00 to 171,700.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
