Job Summary

The Client Services BI & Analytics team strives to create an open, trusting data culture where the cost of curiosity – the number of steps, amount of time, and complexity of effort needed to use data to gain insights and act – is as low as possible.  We govern Client Services’ operational data and metrics, create easily usable dashboards and data sources, and analyze data to share insights.

We are a part of the Client Services Global Business Operations function and work with all levels of stakeholders, from executive leaders sharing insights with the C-Suite to customer-facing colleagues who rely on our assets to incorporate data to their daily responsibilities.

The Sr. Manager, Solutions Management, is an individual contributor who is comfortable engaging with business owners, data enthusiasts, and technology teams.  They will act as a hybrid of a Scrum Master and a Technical Product Owner, ensuring our Engineering team can efficiently deliver data solutions that best meet the needs of our internal customers across Client Services.  Successful candidates will have a strong background developing data solutions for business intelligence applications. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution delivery for internal customers:
    • Manage end-to-end development, delivery, and enhancement of solutions to internal teams’ data needs using Agile methodologies
    • Establish a BI roadmap that accounts for input from business, engineering, and technology partners
    • Manage business requirements gathering, project roadmap, and project delivery SLAs for data solutions including, but not limited to, certified data sets, interactive dashboards, predictive models, and reporting
    • Effectively partner with our On-Demand & Automation, Technology, and Data Platform teams to integrate disparate data into enriched data which drives business value
  • Provide leadership to the Client Services BI & Analytics team on processes, innovation, and delivery of BI solutions
  • Act as a thought leader within Visa’s data analytics community, which includes functions like Client Services, the Chief Data Office, Policy & Governance teams, and Platform teams

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Demonstrated experience leading projects as a scrum master or product owner

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a STEM field
• Technical engineering experience with query languages (e.g., SQL, Hive) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau)
• Experience working with program management tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Demonstrated experience working on cross-functional business intelligence initiatives
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize complex and technical information into clear recommendations and courses of actions
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
• Enjoys asking the next question and searching for deeper knowledge about everything
• A team player and collaborator, works well with a diverse group of individuals in a matrixed environment
• Visa experience or knowledge of payments or client service industries is desirable

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 121,000.00 to 157,300.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
