Job Description

Visa is recruiting a Staff Software Test Engineer for Digital Developer Platform group (DDP) to bring creative thinking and innovation to the testing of our key products. Working with a team of talented engineers you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing the testing technology and approach across exciting enterprise applications where reliability, performance, scalability and security are vital. 

 

You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily. You will take a leadership role working on multiple enterprise projects validating real-time transactional REST-based services built and deployed with Container based services that are highly functional, distributed, secure, scalable and resilient. We believe in self-managing Agile teams who build products end to end focusing on unit testing, code reviews and continuous integration for excellent code quality. You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality enterprise applications to production serving large customers, such as, Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Apple to name a few. You will be driving innovation that makes our products stand apart from our competitors and that delight the customer with fast delivery with high quality.

 

We expect the leader in this role to innovate and bring in new technology and tools, such as AI and ML, to improve the time, efficiency and test coverage.

This position is based in Atlanta, GA and will report to the Director of Product Development.

Relocation is not supported for this role.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8
years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/
MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years
of work experience with a PhD
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field is
required
• Have minimum of 5 years of Full-Time experience in Development and Testing
of Software Applications
• Have Agile Development, Continuous Integration and automated testing
experience
• Experience with configuration and testing of VIP Online Application Services is
highly desired
• Experience with enhancement and maintenance of VIP systems is highly
desired
• Have hands-on experience with Automation Technologies
• Strong Unix skills, proficient with Java and RESTful API's
• Be a technologist - confident of writing code/script to test applications or
build test frameworks across different technologies
• Be at their best when they are collaborating with a high performing team
• Be inquisitive in nature and innovative in their approach
• Be an advocate for quality, influencing the team to build quality into the
release pipeline
• Be an established self-starter who possesses a relentless drive to initiate
change, raise the technical bar and deliver results
• Have proven experience in testing with a creative edge, showcasing strong
problem-solving skills
• Have demonstrable experience in leading testing effort on large-scale
software projects
• Be a passionate advocate for nurturing Testing talent through coaching and
mentoring

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 122,300.00 to 159,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
