Job Description

Visa University offers client training opportunities where practical knowledge about the payments industry comes together with hands-on experience through a team-based simulation to help participants stay ahead in today’s competitive market. The two online advanced programs are comprised of content weeks that are broken down into topics using the external platform, and a team simulation competition. In addition, in-person Advanced Programs are run over the course of four days. The manager will be responsible for aspects of the end-to-end delivery of the online programs and will support the event management of the in-person programs.  Visa University is part of the People organization, and this role will report into the Director, Client Delivery and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage learning delivery programs/projects end-to-end, from registration and set-up through delivery.

  • Develop and execute event processes (e.g. development of event concepts, management of internal and external speakers and presentations, site selection, hotel negotiations, production management, contracting, program planning and development, registration, program implementation and onsite management).

  • Collaborate across VU functions and the business to ensure all project tasks are accomplished, including taking ownership of specific deliverables, e.g., registration, simulation, dashboards/reporting and billing. 

  • Build and develop strong relationships with internal SMEs to manage speaker slots on NA and global programs and develop a pipeline for future needs.

  • Oversee strategic planning for overall advanced program calendar.

  • Oversee budget management for advanced programs, including expense management, forecast, revenue targets and pricing.

  • Streamline existing processes and tools to improve delivery, for both online and in-person events.

  • Partner with global colleagues to scope learning needs and determine feasibility of client-specific requests.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong team player, skilled at developing relationships across levels and geographies.
• Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and respond to tight deadlines.
• Experience in the learning and development space.
• Exercise excellent judgment in setting priorities and interacting with internal and external contacts.
• Fully proficient on all Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

This is a fully-remote role in North America. The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 84,900 USD to 138,000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location of applicant. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus and equity. Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
