Job Description

Visa Design Engineering is looking for a Design Engineering Analyst to join our team. We believe that software powered by inclusive and accessible design can engage and inspire users. Role and Responsibilities include

·       Build engaging, usable, and accessible UI applications/components/code libraries for web - in the form of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and technical notes 

·       Analyze existing software for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement 

·       Work with a diverse team of product owners, UX designers, and developers in a fast-paced environment, with quick iterative cycles 

·       Keep up to date with the latest trends in web engineering and introduce them into projects when appropriate 

·       Evangelizing UI/UX front-end best practices and Accessibility for web 

·       Fielding inquiries and requests for support from stakeholders

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, CS, MIS, UX or equivalent experience
• Experience working on single-page applications• Relevant experience in UX, design strategy, marketing activation design, interaction design or visual and content design

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
