New Payment Flows

Visa has a strategic growth initiative to expand beyond core consumer card payments (C2B) and into broader money movement flows between individuals, businesses, and governments. The investments that Visa has made over decades in C2B provides Visa with the infrastructure, technical capability, brand, expertise, and relationships to tap into money movement between a much broader coupling of counterparties (B2B, B2b, B2C, P2P, G2C, G2B, etc.).  The target market opportunity of more than USD185T in potential volume is an aspiration for the company, with an aggressive net revenue forecast over the next five years.

Team Summary

Spend Clarity for Enterprise: Every business has unique requirements for managing their spend, whether that be high volume transactions, complex organizational structures with sophisticated authorization requirements, or a wide array of suppliers. Visa Spend Clarity for Enterprise simplifies the complexity of expense management, providing easy-to-use spend controls, innovative mobile and virtual payment solutions and detailed, streamlined reporting, to help medium to large businesses organize expenses, accelerate efficiency, mitigate risks, optimize cashflow, achieve spend visibility and control, and drive compliance.

The Role:

As Head of Product Management, you will lead the Product Management team within your portfolio streams and be accountable for the product management practices, shaping the products and streams and the overall strategic direction of our products.

You will work closely with Product & technology VP’s and senior leaders in the definition and execution of the product, delivery and technology strategies.

The development of the product is structured around Product Area domains, each with their own goals and objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio group of these streams to create innovative, sustainable and achievable roadmaps for each product area and ensure successful product outcomes in alignment with the business strategy. You will also work collaboratively on the holistic vision for the entire product.

Role & Responsibilities:

Product Leadership

  • Collaborate with Product Leadership to set the Product vision and strategy in support of Spend Clarity Enterprise business goals
  • Lead the execution of the Product vision, roadmap, and strategy, ensuring team members understanding and buy-in by encouraging two-way communication, keeping vision, roadmap & strategy at the forefront of any action & decision making
  • Responsibility for communicating and evangelizing SCE’s Product vision and strategy to all stakeholders
  • Be available for advice, guidance, coordination, and a help point to facilitate any differences in direction

Product Management

  • Responsible for establishing and improving upon Product Management disciplines and industry leading practices throughout the organization
  • Accountable for a team of Product Managers with responsibilities across the entire scope of product management, including strategy, research, roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, communications, and feedback and data analysis
  • Develop and oversee methods for measuring success of the delivery of new features and product offerings to continually enhance product direction
  • Coordinate the creation and delivery of product management communications and supporting product collateral
  • Be a key contributor-to / owner-of product knowledge (content and delivery thereof) for both internal and external purposes
  • Understand market trends, drivers, and identify opportunities for Spend Clarity Enterprise product growth
  • Actively seek out intelligence to support the development of a roadmap that ensures Spend Clarity Enterprise competitive position is enhanced
  • Develop a deep understanding of Spend Clarity Enterprise competitor landscape and provide insights and context to wider business around Spend Clarity Enterprise placement in market and opportunities to succeed

Team Management & Executive Reporting:

  • Sets performance expectations and holds people accountable for achieving business outcomes
  • Establish team performance objectives and development plans, track performance and evaluate progress towards goals
  • Encourage a cohesive team environment that promotes innovative thinking, confidence to challenge and an open-minded approach to problem solving
  • Builds a competitively superior organization by attracting, developing, and retaining talent by collaborating with our People & Experience team, to ensure that people with the right skills and motivations are in the right place at the right time to meet the business needs
  • Develop relevant exec reports to cover product group activities
  • Create professional presentations and collateral to support exec communications in line with Visa standards
  • Work with Finance business partners on CAPEX reports and improvements
  • Work with Product & Technology leaders to develop capacity management visualizations and insights

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Experience and attributes:
• 12+ years of Product Management experience
• Strong leadership experience at a senior level. An executive influencer
• Experience in managing a team of product managers and executing on Product strategy
• Deep understanding of Product Management disciplines, the value of business intelligence/analytics, and key industry metrics and measures
• Deep understanding and empathy of customer needs and commercial drivers
• Experience with B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) product development valuable
• Able to keep pace with emerging technologies and genuine desire to be across new product designs and user experience trends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, to lead, influence others and set direction
