Job Description and Responsibilities

Visa is the leading provider of Prepaid products and services globally with greater than 220 Billion USD in Prepaid payment volume.  Visa’s Global Prepaid team is responsible for driving growth and evolution of Visa’s Prepaid offerings, in the context of its Ready Funds suite of products (Debit, Prepaid, and ATM), and in partnership with regional, country, and other functional Visa staff.  The position is based in Foster City, California and will report to the Vice President responsible for Global Prepaid Product. The individual will act as a subject matter expert Prepaid models.

Key activities of the Global Prepaid team are to:

  • Guide the development and streamline the production process for Visa’s Global Prepaid monthly and quarterly dashboards

  • Review and analyze Visa Operating Certificates to determine volume processed off Visa rails to provide a comprehensive view of Prepaid product payment volume

  • Become the lead Risk champion for Ready Funds processes, managing annual audits and following up on any findings through resolution

  • Manage quarterly Visa Business School Payments Lab Q&A section for Prepaid, building the foundation to becoming a Prepaid SME

  • Create global prepaid research, practices, insights, and other tools (VOL, Visa.com, MS Teams) that optimize efficiencies and drive growth in the business across regions, markets, and all sizes of issuers

  • Monitor global prepaid and ready funds trends, opportunities, and challenges, including competitive and regulatory landscape, owning the Survey Monkey account

  • Interact on a regular basis with key regional prepaid/ ready funds stakeholders on a global basis

  • Deliver projects on time and within scope with an in-depth knowledge of big data and cutting-edge data mining techniques as well as the use of predictive, classification and alternate analytic algorithms for modeling and segmentation.  The analyses are foundational to corroborate or refute stated hypotheses and are incorporated in the final client-facing solutions.

  • Execute on the analytic plan with appropriate data mining and analytic techniques.

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to advance Visa’s array of Ready Funds products (Debit, Prepaid, and ATM)

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Management consulting experience
• Lead complex projects and processes with multiple stakeholders, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of projects and business problems.
• Drive projects in collaboration with product owners and leaders.
• Results oriented highly organized and must be focused on delivering innovative analytics work.
• Strong customer-oriented mindset to support business operations, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral, written and presentation skills.
• Cultivate net new and unique insights from a combination of expertise in product area, internal feedback, external feedback and market research to provide perspective to the team and product management leaders to inform insights and decisions.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively.
• Advocate for the customer and demonstrate customer empathy.
• Enjoys an environment of innovation, investigation, fact-finding and validation.
• Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Modeling experience in Excel
• Understanding of SQL and Tableau
