Job Description

Visa Corporate IT (CIT) group has embarked on a major transformation journey. We are transforming ourselves into a true engineering organization where we put customer experience and end user support first. As part of this strategy End User Support team is focused on 3 pillars Innovating, Excel, and Delight. This will enable us to provide the best experience for our Visa team members around the world.

We are looking for a talented, technical, proactive, energetic, and passionate person who embraces challenges and is a proven problem solver. You will be a part of “Technology, Automation, & Analytics” team tasked with multiple projects ranging from building full stack development of REST Service APIs, Back-end Batching applications, and Web Front-End User Interfaces that are highly functional, secure, scalable, and robust. You will own and drive projects from start (gathering requirements) to finish (release into production). We are an Agile Scrum development shop with 2-week iterations.

The candidate will be extensively involved in hands-on activities including POCs, design, documentation, development and test of new functionality. Candidate must be flexible and willing to switch tasks based on team's needs.

  • Understand E2E implementation and architecture of products/apps in production to optimize and ensure efficiency
  • Working closely with engineering and operation teams to jointly develop key deliverables, while ensuring production scalability and stability
  • Develop and implement monitoring tools to measure, monitor and report on Platform, Data availability, Utilization, Capacity trend, overall health metrics
  • Develop central dashboards for all delivered automations. Reporting on availability metrics for each
  • Able to help and Guide L1 support engineers to fix day-to-day Operational issues
  • Perform Tuning and Increase Operational efficiency on a continuous basis
  • Monitor health of the platforms and Generate Performance Reports and Monitor and provide continuous improvements
  • Evaluate and introduce technology tools and processes that enable Visa to develop products and solutions, to embrace business opportunities and/or improve operational efficiency
  • Work directly with project development teams to enable successful project implementation
  • Develop and enhance platform best practices and educate Visa developers on best practices

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
•7-10 years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree or
•6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
•3 years of experience with a PhD
•Self-driven with an ability to work independently and as part of a team with proven track record developing and launching products at scale
•Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organizational levels
•Experience with both traditional waterfall and agile release methodologies
•Should have extensive hands-on experience in developing message-based architecture and low latency applications
•Strong on elegant coding, can write very solid prototypes or core components quickly
•Expert in diagraming solutions (flow, block, logical)
•Mastery of Automation tools, such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate
•Knowledge on Microsoft System Center Orchestrator, Rundeck and/or Digital Workflow platforms
•Expertise in Service Oriented Design & implementing RESTful APIs, JSON, Web services (JAX-RPC, JAX-WS, JAXB, REST/XML-over-HTTP, SOAP, WSDL)
•Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, python, JavaScript, HTML
•Cloud computing experience (PCF/AWS/Azure)
•Experience in leveraging DevOps techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code utilizing tools like Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Chef, Terraform, and Docker
•Experience in Linux / Unix OS Services, Administration, Shell, awk scripting
•Knowledgeable about network architecture, VIPS, and Firewalls
•Strong knowledge and working experience in relational database technology SQL, JDBC, Oracle and No SQL Databases (Mongo DB)
•Expert knowledge of Security and Authentication standards and technologies like OAuth
•Experience with JavaScript and front-end technologies/frameworks like JQuery, ReactJS, Angular
•Experience with data visualization technologies like C3.js, D3.js
•Mobile development experience is a plus
