Job Description

The Vice President of Professional Services, Acceptance Solutions is responsible for developing and leading a global team that provides Visa Acceptance Solutions clients with product development services.  This critical leadership role is vital in assisting Visa clients to meet their business objectives through a range of services from accelerating Visa product roadmap delivery to client specific product extension and development on Visa platforms. Services include solution design, development, and implementation support.  We seek a transformational leader, with professional services management experience, to lead the growth and expansion of our professional services organization with a focus on developing a center of excellence through a consistent and mature client engagement model and P&L management.  The leader should demonstrate success in growing and fostering a high performing team of 50+ employees.  This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a global team to collaborate with clients on innovation projects to drive growth.   

Role & Responsibilities

  • Transformational Leader to develop and drive strategic direction of the Professional Services organization for Visa’s Acceptance Solutions Business Unit
  • Develop and grow a high-performing team, with unique payment industry knowledge, to support the success of Visa’s strategic partners
  • Lead development of Professional Services practice methodology for Visa Acceptance
  • Accountable for Acceptance Solutions Professional Services P&L, and all aspects of the client success related to the professional services project delivery activities
  • Utilize a data driven approach to manage utilization, revenue, profitability, client engagement health and any key technology metrics for all professional services engagements
  • Collaborate with the Product Management, Technology, Sales/Account Management, Client Services, and Finance teams to create value for client by accelerating and extending Visa acceptance products and solutions
  • Recruit, build and mentor global professional services team across all subfunction domains
  • Scale business and maintain a foundation of operational rigor and execution excellence to deliver value to Visa and our client partners
  • Accountable for the development and management of client project pipeline including the client proposals, estimates, statements of work and change requests.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional alignment with Product, Technology, Architecture and Sales/Account Management to drive potential new customer opportunities while growing the existing customer base
  • Drive critical strategic discussions, and actions with a range of stakeholders across the organizations, including executive management
  • Function as a critical voice of client needs to inform Visa core product roadmap and investments
  • Lead requirements definition on platform integration framework and methodology
  • Define playbook and deliver industry leading platform extensions and product enhancements for Visa clients.

Qualifications

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ Years’ experience leading a professional services organization that provides technical and business consulting services to global clients
• 10+ Years’ experience managing highly skilled technical teams
• Extensive experience at defining, implementing, and continually improving standards processes and procedures utilizing industry best practice
• Experience with implementing mission critical solutions against tight delivery windows
• Strong operational and financial management experience
• Experience in successfully working within a matrix organization structure
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects with on time delivery and within budget and scope
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Strong client collaboration and management skills
• Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes and implement procedures
• Results oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple objectives
• Expertise in managing large complex technical integration and solution development projects on a global SaaS platform
• Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to develop and motivate high-performing and diverse teams

Additional Location(s): Austin, San Francisco, Atlanta, Bellevue, London, Munich.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
