Job Description
Job Purpose
This role will focus on performing the full suite of FP&A deliverables in relation to UK&I’s Client Incentives and will play an integral part in providing key financial & commercial support and direction to the Ireland leadership team through the provision of accurate, timely and insightful data and analysis to support financial control, optimal decision making and alignment to business objectives.
Integral to the position is the ability to build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with key Executives and other stakeholders within both the UK & Ireland and finance functions and others as required, regionally and globally.
This hands-on role requires strong commercial acumen with the desire and ability to challenge the status quo to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and performance of financial processes pertaining to Client Incentives and Ireland.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (Client Incentives)
- Provide timely, accurate and customised MI in relation to Client Incentive performance, including recommendations for action where applicable. Develop and maintain deal performance tracking and reporting
- Own the budgeting and forecasting process for UK&I incentives, including multi-year plan, AOP and quarterly outlooks
- Review and challenge when necessary quarterly actualisations by the Ops team
- Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of key deal models and develop a comprehensive understanding of how this fits into the overall UK&I business strategy
- Develop robust working relationships with the Client Incentives Ops team and Central FP&A
- Act as an SME by feeding into Europe/global planning policies and systems for deal-related initiatives
- Process all monthly payment requests including additional validations where required
Finance Business Partnering (Ireland)
- Act as business partner for the Ireland leadership
- Lead Ireland budgeting and forecasting activities (revenues, VAS, VIK, expenses)
- Provide timely, accurate and customised MI in relation to Ireland
- Embed P&L thinking into decision-making and drive the implementation, understanding and management of P&L
- Provide advice, interpretation and guidance on finance policies, practices and processes to Ireland team.
Flex Work Arrangement - Hybrid Position - This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with extensive demonstrable post qualified experience
• Business Partnering experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and demonstrable
track record of delivering impactful results
• Ability to build and cultivate effective relationships with senior executives and stakeholders within
relevant function and within the Finance function at a regional and global level
• Demonstrated strong commercial focus with a proven record of analysing business performance,
identifying trends and issues and challenges the norm by recommending appropriate actions
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigour,
and the ability to interpret trends, identify issues and recommend actions
• Highly motivated individual who easily cultivates effective relationships with senior executives and
staff both inside and outside the Finance organization
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a 'peer' with business
leaders in other clusters and functions
• Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including
strong oral and writing capabilities
• Proven self-starter
Desirable Criteria
• Experience of Hyperion, Oracle Applications, and an advance user of Microsoft Office programmes
• MBA or Post graduate degree from top tier academic institution is desirable
• Broad understanding of the payment landscape and Visa products and solutions is desirable
