Job Description

As the Senior Director, Product Management for Payments Processing across Visa Platform Connect (VPC) and scheme connections, you are at the forefront of consumer and merchant choice for payment acceptance.  The role requires an understanding for global, regional and major market payment ecosystems, as well as perspective as to how innovative merchant and acquirer processing solutions can drive win/win outcomes for Cybersource and its clients. The role is of great strategic importance to drive overall acceptance growth and a unique opportunity for a strong leader to shape our approach in an increasingly complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global Visa Platform Connect Product Function. Define the long-term product roadmap, initiate process improvement activities and execute acquirer implementation pipeline
  • Establish and execute Payments product roadmap across Asia/Pacific regional payments domains including traditional processor connections, and domestic schemes/switches
  • Lead a team of high performing Product Managers to build/maintain processing connections across the AP region, driving ownership of full lifecycle Product Management from requirements gathering and commercialization to production launch and maintenance
  • Prioritize projects across complex product portfolio and matrixed development organization to lead execution on regional Payments roadmap
  • Represent Payment Product function – Build an influential relationship with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders including Technology teams, Regional Solutions teams, Regional Sales, external partners and processors to align and define strategies, priorities and requirements
  • Liaise and drive Business Development Strategies – Drive and steer processor engagement and growth with business development alliances teams to develop to penetrate new market and segment opportunities and optimize existing portfolio growth

The successful candidate will be a highly organized, self-starter, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in a matrixed, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in payments and product management with a proven record of delivering innovative payments processing products exceed client expectations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Preferred Location is Bellevue, Washington.  May consider candidates in Austin, Texas.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
• 5+ years of Product Management experience in the payments industry
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results
• Expert experience with aspects of product development life-cycle, including planning, product management, product marketing, and development, in order to develop and commercialize your product portfolio
• Executive presence, broad awareness and understanding for Payments domain, and ability to communicate and influence at senior levels
• Passion for what you do, and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader
• Ability to build strong networks and relationships across organizational boundaries
• Strong communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Comfortable operating in a complex distributed organization with the ability influence those without direct management responsibility in a matrixed organization
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making decisions with 'enough information'
• Excellent problem solving skills with a strong focus on client success
• Self-aware with ability to adapt to various situations

Preferred Qualifications
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
