Job Description

Visa Inc. is expanding our services and products both organically as well as through acquisitions. The Corporate Technology Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration Management Office (IMO) Team is looking to hire an experienced and self-motivated technology leader with a unique balance of technical depth and business acumen to lead post-merger acquisition integrations. This senior level, individual contributor role reports to the Senior Director of Corporate IT M&A IMO and will be a part of a highly matrixed global team providing strategic and tactical leadership to achieve post-merger integration goals. Our team works closely with project managers, architects, and engineers within our organization, as well as with peer technology organizations such as Cybersecurity, Operations & Infrastructure and Product Development, as well as business functional teams like Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Risk to capture technology requirements, define target operating models and integration roadmaps. Change is constant in this role and being flexible is key.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in either technical product management, software development or engineering, have proven ability to build relationships and be action and results oriented.

Essential Functions:

  • Be empathetic and ensure the continuity of business in the acquired entity by providing corporate technology solutions to reduce friction and promote a positive employee experience.
  • Understand the integration health and key performance metrics for the acquired companies
  • Provide recommendations and technical information for required decisions to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and the broader Visa organization
  • Lead Corporate Technology integration technical solution efforts/workshops with strong organizational and communication skills, and ensuring clear accountability
  • Facilitate discussions across workstreams to identify and clarify technical interdependencies between teams and critical deliverables to drive consensus and commitment in achieving integration activities per established timelines
  • Participate in pre-close planning to validate acquisition objectives, contribute to the technology operating model design, and identify preliminary integration milestones, risks, and challenges
  • Collaborate across workstreams to develop and ultimately deliver detailed integration plans
  • Document integration technical requirements, integration plans, and fact sheets for audit, implementation, and change management/training purposes
  • Apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex technology issues
  • Contribute to the development of KPIs, help monitor the performance and report on the integration process, value creation and risk mitigation
  • Be able to deep dive regularly into integration metrics and technical details to identify root cause of issues, identify opportunities and follow through with action-oriented goals and measures
  • Champion continuous improvement of Visa s acquisition integration methodology through playbooks, templates, automation, and technical enhancements so we can get better through every acquisition

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 5 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility in Information Technology, Technical Product or Project Management, Software Development or Engineering domains
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong written and spoken communication
  • Experience translating business requirements to technical requirements
  • Operate with a customer mindset
  • Requires exposure to multiple diverse technologies and processing environments
  • Prior experience in M&A integration
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex organization where the ability to partner with diverse stakeholders is critical to brokering solutions that are in the best interest of Visa as a whole
  • Working knowledge of corporate productivity technologies such as any of the following: Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), open-source development tools and processes, corporate network concepts

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
