Job Description

Treasury as a Service (TaaS) is focused on the design, build, and commercialization of best-in-class flexible enterprise-wide FX, virtual accounts, and liquidity management solutions as we seek to meet the growing and increasingly diversified needs of clients moving funds around the world.

The TaaS Product Development Embedded FX Solutions Director will focus on the discovery, development, and product management of FX and currency management solutions for new client segments, as part of growing the flexibility, reach, and competitiveness of Visa’s broader suite of Treasury as a Service solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to build a new and innovative solution set that leverages some of our core capabilities in the cross border space, while focusing on future proofing and broadening the applicability of our solutions across New Flows products and new client segments. 

Specifically, this role will focus on:

Discovery

  • Build “repository” of market trends and client needs focused on cross border and cross currency money movement, and associated FX and settlement capabilities for a prioritized set of segments

  • Track and understand customer needs and trends providing insights into how they are/may impact client business models while informing the product strategy

  • Develop innovative products and services strategy

  • Define and assess product opportunities (e.g., capabilities, rule changes, pricing) to solve for the identified client needs

  • Define key benefits, market differentiation, product strategy, customer value, and the solution positioning across verticals, markets, and regions

  • Lead, and work across the product, treasury and TaaS organization, policy, rules, technology, and regional teams to execute product launches that highlight innovative use cases and drive demand

  • Cultivate net new and unique insights from a combination of expertise in product area, internal feedback, external feedback, and market research to provide perspective to the team and product management leaders to inform insights and decisions

 

Product Development & Delivery

  • Provide industry knowledge and implications on known or potential impacts clients relative to FX or settlement solutions

  • Develop product strategy, go-to-market plans, and product design documents (concept document, business case, product requirements)

  • Build and maintain product requirements – educate and influence across various internal and external stakeholders to build and deliver capabilities enhancing the TaaS solution set across new client segments

  • Lead and coordinate across product, technology, legal/regulatory, implementation and client service teams to deliver against the product requirements roadmap

  • Provide thought leadership in strategy & planning, content & messaging, and measurement & analysis areas

  • Develop and deliver “playbooks” with client-facing materials focused on settlement and emerging FX capabilities

 

Product rollout and roadmap management

  • Contextualize use cases and create feedback loop from internal and external clients which feeds into our TaaS product roadmaps

  • Work closely with regional teams to understand trends, competitive landscape, and shape the direction of the roadmap as well as align the strategic direction of regional and global initiatives

  • Monitors competitive activities and rationalize Visa activities. Understand the trends and competition to deliver compelling messages that effectively position our offerings for client’s and Visa’s success

  • Lead product pricing, client business model efforts, and product roll out and support efforts from a market and ecosystem readiness perspective, working collaboratively with regional product and commercialization teams

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
 6 years product development and management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
WHAT
 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
 Deep knowledge in consumer, business and merchant banking and according payments flows and systems. Visa and retail payment industry knowledge as well as P2P, B2C and B2B market experience is a plus, but not required;
 Fintech and/or commercial cross border payments experience preferred.
 Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on clients
 Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products
 Lead complex projects and processes with multiple senior stakeholders
 Drive projects in collaboration with product owners and leaders of all levels
 Superior analytical and problem-solving skills to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively
 Individual works autonomously with ongoing supervision from manager and leadership
 Be the voice of the customer needs and demonstrate customer empathy in design and build process. Translate identified needs into product goals and features
 Set the vision, strategy, defines success (e.g., OKRs), makes decisions around prioritization for releases and roadmap for next 3-5 years

 Strong collaboration and influence skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams to drive deliverables, projects, and engagements to completion

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
