Job Description

Our Global Technology Partnerships Strategic Initiatives team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced payments specialist to drive the solutioning & enablement of Visa's products with acceptance payment technology partners.

 

The Global Technology Partnerships team works closely with Visa's Global Product, Merchant Sales & Acquiring, as well as other stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Operations, Marketing to execute partnership agreements and deliverables that are typically highly complex, strategic, and cross-functional in nature. 

 

As part of our Strategic Initiatives & Solution Consulting team, you'll be working with new and existing acceptance initiatives and cutting-edge payment technologies and will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of new skills on the job. The role is diverse with responsibilities ranging from delivery of new product initiatives, to solutioning with tech partner clients, to supporting the Sales teams with executing new strategic deals with payment technology partners. 

 

Essential Functions: 

The role requires an individual with deep expertise in acceptance payments ecosystem with experience in the solutioning and enablement of payment products into partner platforms, and proven track record of identifying opportunities, structuring complex deals and collaborating with the teams needed to bring them to fruition.

 

Segment Expertise:

·        Experience and background in understanding the ISV and payment technology partner ecosystem to solution and deliver Visa's products and services into partners platforms and capabilities 

·        Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through a strong understanding of the segment and customer's business needs, leveraging Visa solutions across all product platforms 

·        Continuously review market and partner landscape, identifying developing partnership or acquisition opportunities that will position Visa as the market leader 

 

 

Solution Consulting 

·        Serve as a trusted advisor to the Global Technology Partnerships Business Development team and support the enablement & consumption of Visa's initiatives with Technology Partners 

·        Support the New Business Development and Partner Success Management teams and sales plans for their accounts, ensuring that the client's business objectives are met 

·        Drive cross functional alignment with key internal stakeholders on key proposals including representation from Business Development, Global Product, Seller Solutions, Legal, Marketing, and Product, Operations, Client Services, Market Research and Technology 

 

Execution: 

·        A creative and structured problem solver who will partner with the Business Development team to help drive to fruition a solutions-oriented sales strategy

·        Take the lead in solving the problems that arise during the execution of programs with partners 

·        Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship, and direction of the business 

 

Communication: 

·        Report to and interact with senior leadership and executives to indicate the status of the partnership progress 

·        Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization 

·        Proactively educate the Visa organization on market developments and partner opportunities 

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• A minimum of 8 years technical sales experience in working with Processors, Acquirers, Merchants and Value-Added Service Providers/ISVs
• Payments or financial services industry experience
• Strategic thinking and thought leadership
• Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example
• Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a complex stakeholder management environment


COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is 124,200 USD to 161,500 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
