Job Description

The Global Risk Strategy & Operations Manager is a highly visible role within the Visa Global Risk team. This role will be responsible for transforming strategic optimization initiatives into operating and execution models that ensure organizational alignment with the overall Risk strategy. They will collaborate with functional and Risk leaders to maximize value from existing strategic initiatives and to position the Risk organization to deliver business value within Visa and its broader ecosystem. They will play an important role in transforming the Risk function in achieving operational excellence and tight alignment with business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build a value-centric execution approach to deliver the foundational organizational capabilities, optimized business processes, and execution frameworks required to realize optimal value from Global Risk strategic initiatives 

  • Lead the enablement efforts for client-facing teams by providing them the relevant market trends and changes in the competitive landscape, sharing appropriate insights with the leadership team, and developing recommendations on moving forward plans

  • Establish, track, and review regional work streams that support the execution of Risk’s overall strategy, Identify opportunities for improvement, gain consensus for action, and set up road plan to ensure execution

  • Develop processes, methods to increase the efficiency of repeatable projects, including the communication and training of employees on the processes and best practices

  • Ensure comprehensive change management programs are in place to implement process optimization initiatives and realize benefits

  • Create management reporting and presentations to communicate progress and impact to external stakeholders, including senior executive leadership

  • Partner across the organization to create a feedback loop on the organization’s needs and develop plan to address them

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• 1-2 years business experience in Payments/ Banking / Consulting organizations
• Visa and Payments industry experience will be considered as an asset but not essential
• Track record of developing and communicating execution plans, building relationships across teams and key stakeholders to achieve business goals
• Must have a Can do attitude and will do what it takes in order to move a program forward
• Excellent verbal and written skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders
• Strong presentation skills, comfortable presenting materials and POV
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency, and deliver under tight deadlines/time frames
• Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects and synthesize data

COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is 90,200 to 117,300 USD.  Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
