Job Description
The Sr Business Analyst for Visa DPS will be a member of Visa’s DPS Product team. This position reports to the Director of Visa DPS Planning/Strategy team located in Highlands Ranch. The position is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to Visa’s DPS Product Processing organization. The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to problem solving. The Sr Business Analyst will interact frequently with DPS Product management, DPS Product teams, Finance areas and Client Services support areas and Technology.
Essential Functions
- Produce month-end analysis of results in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Create monthly management dashboards and month-end analysis reports in a timely and accurate fashion that is utilized by Client Services, DPS Product and Sales.
- Identification of new items to be included in standard monthly reporting (including dashboards, executive-level reports and other ad-hoc reports as needed).
- Participate in enhancing the DPS P&L including reviewing outputs and identifying areas to focus additional analysis to drive better business decisions.
- Proactively communicate business implications observed from analysis and contribute ideas and solutions to business challenges/problems.
- Operational activities performed by department including monthly DPS billing adjustment process function (reviewing, validating and submitting of manual billing adjustments), monthly billing and problem solving.
- Identify potential gaps or areas for improvement in a broad range of current systems, processes, and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes and document processes.
- Participate in creation of the annual Revenue & Expense budget and the monthly Revenue & Expense Outlook updates.
- Generating ad-hoc requests during the year for audit requests (internal, external, FBA auditors).
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
o 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
o 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
o Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required or an advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
o Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with ability to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses.
o Experience in budgeting and forecasting, month-end close and process development.
o Experience in financial services and/or payments preferred.
o Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the what and into the why.
o Proactive and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels.
o Experience in highly matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders.
o Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and skills in Access and PowerPoint.
o Self-starter who is able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently and is adaptable to a variety of different work and projects.
o The ability to respond to ad hoc requests and to influence others is essential.
o Excellent organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels within the organization to accomplish Visa DPS business priorities.
COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is 90,200 to 117,300 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
