Job Description

The Senior Director of Global Marketing Data and Technology will lead marketing data and technology for Visa’s brand, client and B2B marketing across the globe. This role collaborates with Visa marketers, Visa clients, Visa’s technology teams, and external partners to make marketing efforts more effective and efficient through the compliant use of data and technology. The Senior Director develops and deploys capabilities and solutions to offer Visa marketers and clients, including business strategy, product strategy, go to market strategies, training, pricing, and the development roadmap. This role leads a team of proficient and influential subject matter experts. The key responsibilities include:

Future Proof our Marketing

  • Be a subject matter thought leader & drive the vision for marketing data and technology for all parts of the organization inclusive of executive audiences & priority segments

  • Architect the data solution to advise, enable and optimize Visa’s marketing globally across paid, earned and owned experiences

  • Build and evolve corporate strategies around data collection, data use, and technology to deliver marketing results and drive business benefits for Visa

  • Navigate global, cross-functional marketing teams (internal and external) to uncover opportunities to contribute with marketing data and technology

  • Craft and drive implementation of a future-proof vision for Visa marketing data based on the latest industry updates and privacy changes (i.e., deprecation of 3rd party cookies/IDFAs)

  • Partner with our web, social, and technology teams to build new experiences and value for our audiences across the customer journey with clear attribution

  • Ensure marketing technology practices are compliant and reflect our data values in partnership with Legal, Privacy, and Marketing Governance teams

 

Build New Global Marketing Capabilities

  • Pilot new technologies and capabilities for clients, partners and internal teams with the goal of rolling our scalable standard methodologies for global Visa marketers

  • Drive revenue & strong MROI with global and regional marketing services teams by delivering differentiated high value services to clients

  • Develop our first party data strategy that demonstrates clear consent and grows audiences that Visa and our partners can use for high performance marketing, in partnership with our web and Technology teams

 

Advance our AdTech Leadership

  • Maintain the global AdTech stack including web analytics, media tagging, global ad server, DCO, ad quality tracking, global tag manager, global CDP, and Email CRM for B2C and B2B2C

  • Own and lead global AdTech partnerships and vendor agreements (e.g., Ad Serving, DSPs, Brand Safety, Ad Quality measurement/verification, DCO, CDPs/DMPs)

  • Maintain and evolve our outstanding global Ad Quality standards and process, including aggregating reporting and summarizing for executives.

 

Align Marketing and Technology Portfolio

  • Lead marketing technology resource planning for the entire marketing function to ensure needs are resourced accurately with clear priorities and cases

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Shown experience (10 years) in a digital marketing role with consistent record of using technology and data to drive marketing results
  • Deep knowledge of the Marketing Technology space, including the key partners and crucial trends
  • Shown experience with privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD
  • Validated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams using effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12-15 years of relevant work experience and Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • Experience in digital marketing for Financial Services, Tech, and/or Fintech
  • Experience on agency side deploying digital advertising and working with Marketing Technology
  • Experience in a global role at a large enterprise
  • Ambitious drive and a motivation to achieve rapid results.
  • Product or tech experience in the marketing space
