Job Description

The Visa Business Solutions (VBS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting team to join our team as we expand globally. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.  Our focus within Business Solutions is to identify needs, assess opportunities and options and quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution.

The VBS B2B Acceptance team works across Visa with the Products, Partnerships and Sales Teams globally and in the regions, ensuring alignment on market positioning and collaborative product development across all areas of Commercial Payments globally. The B2B Acceptance team is responsible for commercial products and solutions that increase acceptance globally. It is responsible for developing the strategy, products & solutions and go-to-market approach for key VBS B2B product priorities. The Director, Travel Acceptance will lead the effort to establish Acceptance for Visa OTA products and solutions globally

The Director will be responsible for:

  • Mapping the global acceptance with travel merchants
  • Lead the global cross function effort to establish smooth and seamless acceptance with travel merchants
  • Partner with team across Visa to ensure acquirer & client servicing readiness to service and support travel merchants
  • Manage pilots to test and expand acceptance, merchant segmentation and develop strategy to test and build acceptance strength with travel merchants.

This position is open in the following locations: New York and San Francisco

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Knowledge of travel industry and payments experience
• Strong project management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving experience
• Consulting experience a plus
• Understanding of travel Acceptance, travel products and merchant pain points
• Exceptional ability to coordinate internal and external resources to nurture cross-functional relationships (i.e. issuer, acquirer, suppliers, Visa) and drive solutions for broad payment acceptance.
• Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise, goal oriented, objectives with multiple stakeholders at senior levels.
• Strong communication, team leadership, people development and business development skills.

COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is 124,200 USD to 161,500 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity.
